hows everyone doing? Have a good thanksgiving?

Here is what my buddy and I just finished for his brother.

Started off with these 2 piece of crap 240s

    Davidscarbefore_zpsc03abe1c_836bcba69feab5008ee13d566dabb18dbaeacaee.jpg

    davidcarbefore2_zpsbcc54a61_e3d310eaa893632e02e5e4071484add6fffe21ab.jpg

took all the guts out of the bottom one and swapped everything in to the top 240, rebuilt the engine (SR20DET) with a new block and everything and we are running 11 lbs of boost. Got it all done in about a month and surprisingly we didn't have any serious issues other than a couple radiator hoses leaking. Here is what we ended up with.

    1374920_10151976712379333_1967512686_n-c_be89c811f55798808e421efc7775607ff986cdb7.jpg

and here is both of our team's cars.

Next up is my buddies 240 convertible missile car and swapping everything over to his new vert shell with full cage and caged front end. It is going to be a real pain in the ass.

thanks! The Frankenstein car (green and black one) is going to be undergoing an LS3 swap relatively soon we hope. Right now we have a KA24deT in there and we are still able to tandem with a few of the guys that have ls swaps. might not be getting as wide as them but our driver is damn good. He actually needs more power to do what he wants to do. lol
me too! lol once I get a nice paying job (which is in the works right now), my ideal goal is to have a nice tow rig, a 240 drift car and after I am good, a 240 with an LS in it, a desert truck, and of course an all around wheeling rig.

LS3 240sx would be sweet. It would be easy to get over 400rwhp and 400tq with an LS3 I seen a few of them at the LSX fest in Bowling Green they had some nice set ups.

Yeah there is a a guy at the track that has a similar setup like what we want and that is about how much he is running. I got to drive that car on the track and normally I am between 2nd and 3rd with the skinny pedal planted to the floor in the 240 but that LS I just stay in 3rd and I hardly have to even tap the skinny pedal to get it sideways. It actually scares the hell out of me. lol The other car I have been dying to run is the 240 hatch with a 2jz in it.
    damn you!!!!!

Plenty of room in the Tundra! How are the trails out there?

Honestly I have made zero progress since the last time we were all down there, but the once I made is still there, not how the Tundy would do, I've had my dads down there a few times and just didn't seem to have the the Tacoma did.

    How is everyone doing?

No Tundra faith! I just recently put some General Grabber ATII (same ones I had on my Tacoma) on and she has been doing good off road with them.

I regret selling my Tacoma, I really miss it, esp with all this snow. I've had to shovel the driveway for the first time since i lived here. The day after the ice storm we had I think I ripped something off the bottom of my car when I pulled in the driveway. The Lexus is a great car and a blast to drive, but I cannot take the dogs anywhere nor tow the boat. I've been recently considering getting another one, but I doubt that it will compare to the one I had.

You need another Tacoma! It took me one winter with my old IS300 to realize how much I missed it. You will not be happy until you get another one!

 I knew it was only a matter of time before you got tired of having a car. I refuse to buy another after this one. I just got a job up in Wilmington that pays very well so it look like FINALLY a tacoma is going to be in my driveway in a few more months. The inconvenience of not having a bed and 4 wheel drive far outweighs the good gas mpgs my mazda and civic have gotten.
