sweet! the front coil assemblies are kinda tough to wiggle out. be sure to disconnect your sway bar completely. use good a size prybar to hold down the control arms and it'll come out. be careful with the spring compressor and good luck!

you can do it! i did end up taking my springs to NTB to get the shocks changed out, mainly because of some of the stories i've heard about manual spring compressors and what a pain they CAN be. it's really not that bad getting the shocks off the truck. i think it took me & a buddy a total of maybe 2.5 or so hours to take em off and put em back on. it's just a matter of getting enough stuff out of the way so the shocks can come out/go back in. i know i remember taking the swaybar off made all the difference for us. i have a decent set of tools, and we didn't need any air tools. you're gonna be stoked with the new front stance you'll have. you will even notice while sitting in the truck.

I really cannot wait to see and feel the difference. I called a few places and I can get it done for 150 w/ and alignment. As much as I enjoy working on my truck, I think this my be a little over my skil level. But it really just depends if my buddy can help me or not this weekend. Thanks for the tip, by Sunday you guys will have pics to see the improvement. :woot:

Some times it is better to have some one else deal with the head ache!

Once you get it done you will need to test it out!

hello Maxtacoma, I stumbled upon this thread and brings back alot of memories. I grew up in Florence,Ky, back when it was still considered BFE but you have some nice property and wish I could come up and enjoy it with Y'all. I recently bought some land close to mammoth cave and love it...I'm still a huge UK basketball fan and thats were the GO big blue comes from...enjoy your land and be safe.....

Honestly I'd rather be on vacation as well. If RCBS doesn't plan anything the end of this month, I'm going to start to get dates for the end of July for a big meet again.
