My name is Kate, and tomorrow I am buying my first Tacoma . I am new to the Forum, but I saw that there is a meet planned for Nov. 6th. If everybody is ok with it, and if I can get off of work, I would like to join the meet and greet .

I sign the papers tomorrow. It is a 2011 TRD Off-Road 4x4 4.0L V6 5sp automatic short bed Double Cab (sorry, not a reg cab :s) in speedway blue. As soon as I get it home and can upload pics, they will be on. Of course it is bone stock, but it does have a class 4 tow package because you never know.

Haha, thanks! I don't want to intrude because I know some car people are real uptight about their groups, but we are truck people and that is totally different. eh?

 

I just don't see a whole lot of reg cab Tacomas driving around Columbus either. I see a lot of other Tacomas running around here, but they have access or double.

I'm actually surprised there isin't a bigger Columbus representation, I mean I see a lot of Tacomas on the road. The type of drivers I've seen have varied. A Chinese guy sports one on the road I work off, 5 lugger access always pullin a trailer. Seen a mom sportin' around in one. Some old timers, a really good portion of middle-aged guys who'd give me a WTF look if I waved. Not really the enthusist sorta crowd.

I've got her looking pretty good (IMPO), the silver and black combo always looks solid, just have to be careful and not cross the astheticly pleasing line.

I do have my dumb little build thread linked in my sig if you want to take a look. I haven't added any pics of the parts of my exhaust I painted black and I'm still waiting on my Sockmonkey decal to come in. I'm not salty at all and Sock has been really cool about the communication but I ordered a 12 inch deal on the 21st of last month. Hopefully it's in the mailbox today.

Oue group is pretty open to new people. There have been a few people come down that dont even have Tacomas.

Recently I've noticed there are alot of new Tacoma's in my area, I to am surprised there isn't more of following on here. This is when I kinda wish I had TW cards to put on other Tacoma's I've seen.

 

I saw one at a McDs a few weeks ago that I should have left something on. Had the look that would fit in around here. Green 1st Gen, I belive it had a bull bar, maybe some lights. Definitley had a cb antannae hooked on the bed and was rather dirty.

 

If I can make it out, I'll have a reg cab 1st gen!! Woohoo!

That weekend looks good so far, the only thing is I have a nice bonus check coming in the weekend before and I contemplating putting my truck in the shop to get my wheel bearings replaced, a new cat converter, and a front o2 sensor. But I may just do that the weekend I get paid.

On another note! I just bought new wheels! Just need to paint them and buy two new rubbers! I wont deny you pics!
