Oh I've totally been there.... it's not hard once you get to this point... it's just a matter of "I hope I dont break these things" and "I hope I get the seal right"

I can do this....I just looked and if I'm just doing demon eyes and halos and painting the housings, it' should only cost me like $50-$60

I like the way you think.... haha and the more I drive my truck, the more I agree with you....

but I'm starting to wonder something.... am I going a little "too" bro If I do:

    RGB halos
    RGB demon eyes
    RGB Rock lights

I would probably just end up finding a nice orange that I like that somewhat matches the truck and staying with that color, but still...... these are the things that keep me awake at night.

Ok, after talking with them I have it all figured out. In reference to my question, all of the morimoto projector kits they sell come with all of the adapters that I will need to fit them in the stock taco light. Just need to order the parts! I think I am going to buy a cheap set of ebay lights, since I will be re-sealing them anyways. I would really like to color match the bezels, but it would be really easy to buy a blacked out pair and just leave them as is too.

Awesome man! Haha def sounds cool. I would recommend looking up "duplicolor" on Amazon and search for your color if you want to color match. That way you know it will be relatively consistent color wise.

I have 8 cans of color matched spray paint sitting in my house. At one point I was planning to do a color matched grill on my own (still am, eventually). There was a sale and I went a little overboard.

I found mine by trail and error.... went to home depot and lowes and basically just started buying orange paints.... until I found Rustoleum Satin Paprika.....but I dont know if they would look good as the base color of headlights...... would they?

Have you thought about just going black? Just remember that if you do you won't never come back.

I think you would be fine as the lights are surrounded by the outer assembly and wont be as easy to discern the slight color difference. Factor that in with the natural shadows of the lights, I think the difference in constrast will be minimal enough that you would have to really look for it. You could always hit a piece of paper with the paint and then tape it over your lights and see if from a distance that you can even tell a difference? It looked pretty close to me though from your pic.

I was going to quote a bunch of post and respond to shit but after all this catch up I said F it.....

For those of you doing 3rd gen BHLM - My boss tried on his and he said it was a bitch - the sealant is a pain in the ass and he ended up breaking some shit on the inside...he lost his mind on it. Wife ended up being just as frustrated and told him to buy the Pro lights.....hahaha..

Damn you @boogie3478 for talking about your high speed build for retros.....

Works been hectic so just finally sitting down to chat with you bastards
