this is reassuring, my only concern was the age, but even if I can sqeeze a couple years out of it... I'm happy

 

I agree man, I stopped going to gun shows for the most part as the prices in my opinion are often times inflated cause they know people will buy on the impulse. When I do go, its really to check out unique stuff in person and then go home and buy from a solid source. You can get the occasional cheap magazines and stuff, but if you are familiar with the cost of parts online, you will likely find most of their stuff to be a rip off. Some of my friends make weapons on the cheap just to sell at gun shows cause they know many people often don't know better.

 

When I go I have done my best to use it as window shopping only. I can zero in on what I want, can see how it looks and feels, then I can go from there to see what kind of deal I can find. At present I am in the market for a shotgun, hunting rifle, and probably a Glock 20, none of those in any particular order.

 

Lately I have been buying used for weapons since if they are a solid weapon then it doesn't matter whether it has had a few rounds through it or not. I tend to buy my stuff from buds gun shop or gunbroker depending on what I am getting.

fyi, I bought a lot of my parts on ebay (the cheapest) and made my l110 like new! this was especially true with new blades and spindles

 

The best purchase I ever made at a gun show was.......drum roll......no kidding..........the 1 quart size horseradish flavored pickle slices from Mr. Pickle.....and a close second is the home made Jerky!!

 

Hell no. The gun show in April was nuts I got there at like 10 am and the lines were 200/300 deep on both sides....

 

EXACTLY. I bet that jerky was solid. I got some stuff from larue tactical one time and they gave this chipotle pepper rub as a bonus gift. I think it sat around for almost a year before I finally tried it. Damn if that wasn't the best ingredient in my veggies and eventually my chicken dishes. I think it was a one time thing and Larue was like sorry man, we don't typically stock food items here. Funny sometimes where good things come from.

 

Prices are coming way down as Manufactures have a HUGE stock pile of guns as they ran production 24/7 for almost 2 years anticipating a different outcome in the election....M&P 15 AR's $479

 

Might be time to buy some more weapons!

 

Maybe I should look for more AR parts then.

 

I found the PTO cable for like $18, I'm going to fill up my cart and try to do everything myself
