Yeah we talked for a few minutes but i knew he had a lot to do so i let him get to it. He and his helper are still out there after almost three hours! Thats a lot of work, glad i decided to just pay someone lol. Im tempted to have my truck done later this year. Itll be 4 in aug and i think ive thrown a coat of wax on it once :anonymous: with the wife kids and house time is limited for me.

Well the car turned out amazing. I am very happy with the work devin and his helper did. If anyone is looking for a quality detailer, devin at dominion auto detailing is your guy.
The pictures dont do it justice. The paint is as smooth as glass and no more swirl marks.

You mind posting how much they charged? Because of the picture, I'm assuming they did the engine compartment? Did they do any of the undercarriage or wheel wells?

I like to clean my truck myself but I'm just curious how much stuff like this goes for.

P.S. Those pilot wheels look really similar to the Rugged Trail wheels...

skygear, did you just REPAIR yours and use your old hub or put in a replacement part? Sounds like you repaired it which is what i want to do. Just replace the seals and re-do hub?

It was $300 for the top of the line package. I think its the supreme package on their site. No undercarriage wash but everything above it was done. I usually hit the undercarriages of her car and my truck whenever i have the hose or power washer out.
I like to do my own cleaning on vehicles too cause im really ocd about stuff like that, so to say i was impressed is a lot for me. This guy is passionate about his detailing, and it shows. I just dont have the time to do it anymore, wish i did :(

Yup interior was done too. Everything looks brand new, and thats with a 1.5 year old back there most of the time! I dont know how he did the leather but damn! He even scrubbed down the weathertechs for me too. I didnt get his helpers name, but he was one tall dude.

The car will be two years old next month and looks like we just picked it up from the dealership, if not better.

I ordered all new parts from Rock Auto. Theres plastic parts in the bearing and that is part of what goes bad.

I will look at my invoices again, but for left and right, I think it was $200 tops for everything I ordered.

So yes. I re used the HUB and just replaced the bearings. If you get all the stuff from Rock Auto, or wherever else, I'm sure we could get an hour or 2 in the shop with the press.

OR we could park at my place, do all the prep work removing all the stuff you want repaired, then take a ride to the shop to press out the old and then press on the new.

I have all the tools needed to do the work. Besides of course the PRESS which the shop has.

35mm socket and the impact came in real handy. I had to use the torch on one of the bearings to get it to release by heating it evenly.

I don't have the time to come out to you Danny but I TRUELY appreciate the offer!!! I did quite a bit of research over the weekend and it doesn't appear to be over my head so I will attempt this at work this week (plus we have a 90 ton press here). I will let you guys know how it turns out...

Thanks a bunch skygear for all the info. Like I said in my last post...I'm going to take a run at it myself here at work and hopefully come out victorious. I appreciate the offer. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

I will give you this advice when using the bearing press. Tighten the bearing plate down good under the lip so it doesn't slip off. Otherwise it is a nightmare.

If you cant get it to move, PBBlaster and a torch.
