If I wanted to be hot, uncomfortable, and covered in sand; I'd be getting paid to be in sand blast booth :)

    Fuck the beach :)

The truck is no longer sad. It looks like its lost an eye now and the shroud is laying in the bottom of the headlight. I ordered a set of depo lights to put on there till i can get moved and have time to properly fix the headlight. Until then i have been very self conscious driving the truck around. I feel like people are pointing and laughing :(

Damn man that's a bummer. Honestly though splitting a headlight is pretty easy. I wonder after opening it if there isn't a better way to attach the shroud from causing this issue to repeat itself later on down the road?

Got my gauge cluster back working on making it look factory. Exhaust is almost completely done. Core support is done.

Thats what ill be seeing if i can figure out. I remember the smaller d2s ones had screws that held them in place but the fxrs must only be adhesive. If so i can epoxy it real good. The driver side looks fine. I just need the stuff to do it and its all in storage. If i part out and trade in, ill be selling the headlights so i may just leave the depo ones in once they arrive tuesday till i figure it out.

Thats true if you part out, Im sure people will be jumping in line to get them. If you ever need help cracking them open, just let me know. I know I will have all the tools regardless if you dont, especially with having a second set on the truck you can tackle these at whatever pace you want. As far as the shrouds, thats kind of sad that they arnt bolted in...thats just fatigue waiting to happen. I had to completely retro my set up with templates for the new projector bases, but all are bolted in. I would encourage some sort of fastener process, epoxy can get stiff and brittle. Not that I think you would push the limits of epoxy, but if there is a better solution, I think we should entertain it. Regardless, this could be a good opportunity to build your lights into a real robust product.
