I actually can't think of a more boring area of law than power of attorneys and family law (to me at least). Would much rather do criminal law, corporate law, anything else really.

It really depends on what employment you go into, learning the boring stuff may be the case in the military, but at a lot of law firms you're taking on high stakes litigation right out of the gate, of course under the supervision of a more experienced attorney.

No no, it might!! As of now it's still slated to be delivered today. I just don't have high hopes that they will. AMZL is Amazons same day/next day shipping service, and it's not a big name carrier. I'm pretty sure it's just people driving around with packages in their car delivering stuff.

Problem is I don't have a stud (the part that connects the coax cable to the antenna itself). Otherwise I'd just fab up my own shitty mount and make it work!

The stud is coming with the mount.

Have faith man! If not, you personally can issue out racing stripes with your antenna!

From what I hear from the private sector, its pretty competitive to get the high stakes stuff out the gate unless you have decent experience. It seems many start out doing the financial/insurance law where they sit down in a room. If not, then likely you are doing the research/library work for a big wig. I think out of 12 law buddies, only the most gifted guy was doing high end court cases after a few months partially because he is quite charismatic and just knows the law very well due to having a precise photographic memory and sold himself very well at his interview. Not saying it cant be done...just remember the market is pretty saturated from the past five years.

Haha if not, then just more scratches to add into the mix.

If i ever do same day it's those laser ship guys. They usually come in with brakes locked up and jump out like theyre about to abduct a kid or something, run half way up the driveway, throw the box at the door, and drive off in a cloud of tire smoke.

    They look sketchy to me.

This is true, to a certain extent. I think a lot of people believe you just go to law school and then people start throwing money at you, which is very, very far from the truth. The law is competitive, and you have to work very hard, and that's part of what I love about it. I won't go to work for a big wig though (it's called "Big Law" in the profession), because you have zero control over what you're doing. You won't see a court room for years. That sounds miserable to me. I don't know where your buddies work, but at smaller firms, you get cases right away; you're dealing with clients day 1. Library and researching is part of the deal for any attorney, but even in a boring subject, I think that is better than filling out POA forms.

Either way, I think it's better than working with computers. Being stuck in front of a machine all day every day would drive me crazy. Although, at this point, I feel like I should have gone that route.

Well I might not be able to make it tomorrow. Turns out, in order to balance the wheel I have, a certain adapter is needed. The tire place I went to this morning didn't have it, and referred me elsewhere. I called about 5-6 different places, and none of them could squeeze me in today. :annoyed: Luckily one place was able to fit me in at 3pm, so hopefully that can get it all up to snuff. If not, I'm not going to be able to go tomorrow since I'm not limping along at 55mph the whole way.
