I will be good if I got out now but just trying to make it super secure plus I got a while. If I can make Sergeant Major then I will go for it and it gets pretty competitive so more degrees helps. Plus the Army is paying for it so I might as well use what I have earned and not have any student loans. No office geek for me lol Im the BOSS!!!!! LOL no but seriously with retirement, disability and a good paying civ job for 10 or so years I can have my homes and toys paid and chill on my boat!

 

I have considered man I still got at least 6 until I can retire but probably doing another 10-12 depending if I pick up CSM. But when I do get out I might slide into contracting for this stupid 180 day thing and then slide into a GS job for longer term until I'm just tired of it.

 

I mentioned the sex toys ...

GL! although I hear that Sergeants Major Academy @ Ft Bliss is awful. haha

 

I went to Ft. Bliss about a year ago. It was 114 degrees out but felt like 90 degrees. Super dry heat.

 

I was at Sill for awhile.... it was 110+ and I thought I was going to die. haha

then I went to San Angelo Texas.... it was slightly better, but still hot as hell....

Luckily, Colorado was WAY better!

I don't mind sitting on my fat ass.

 

Joint, interagency, foreign, operations, training, recruiting, acquisition, HR, etc etc and still learning. By time im done I will have worked with literally every level and type of unit the Army has. Just trying to match up my experience level and leadership with whats on paper degree wise.

 

Nah man I will slow down and take it easy and probably ride more MTB and do more functional fitness to keep me moving (less impact). We will see if I can stay major injury free for a while. It all depends on my back and shoulder. I definitely don't mind sitting on my ass if im getting paid. But I like training and moving and getting out of office so it depends. Sitting kills my back and office shit kills my eyes and gives me migraines lol!

 

I cant wait to hear what tanks you get to drive before you get out!

Honestly man, GS life is pretty chill from atleast the Navy side of the house. Some of those dudes redefine what an "acceptable" bare minimum work ethic is.
