@boogie3478 Woke up to this mess this morning. Going to try to dry it out today but it needs replaced. Anyone out there have a 2nd gen passenger side headlamp they are willing to part with? I am also considering upgrading to a projector w/ drl light bar, any suggestions are welcome. Thanks guys!20180326_090555.jpg 20180326_090548.jpg

WTF is going on with headlights in this thread recently?!

Sorry man I am 2nd gen but the earlier model, otherwise i would have a set for you! Good luck.

@Me. Projekt I am bout to get a set of used retro lights - what did you use to "re-seal" without having to crack open your ebay projectors? Silicone IIRC?

Sorry I didn't make it this weekend gents. Looks like you guys had a blast. Although I am known to bail last minute on off-road trips, I will own that reputation and try to make it next time!

Try removing the headlight and drying it out completely, then resealing along the outer edge with some silicone. Might not have to be replaced. :fingerscrossed:

No need to reseal, unfortunately lens is cracked (can see if you look closely). Knew it was going to happen eventually but was hoping for a bit longer. Only had the truck for 2 weeks

I ran a generous bead of clear silicone around the entire headlight where the lens meets the housing and then used my finger to work it in to the little nooks and corners and then let it dry for like 4 hours before installing (glad I waited, because it actually rained that same night I put them on)

and while we're on the topic of headlights:

mine are done for the WRX, I'm picking them up this afternoon... so hopefully between the morimoto headlight sealant and I'm also probably going to use the clear silicone trick on these as well just for shits and gigs, hopefully I can break the Nova curse of the fish bowl headlight mod.

    I think they look great!

I did do the clear silicone and it was working great through some shitty weather, but then the passenger side fogged up again a few days ago.

yea I would send them back to the guy who made them and have him reseal them, then when you get those back, do the clear silicone and hopefully that will create a double seal that will keep them dry
