Northern Virginia Roll Call

Hopefully nobody needs to use this today but Verizon wireless is having a 911 outage in Fairfax, Arlington, prince William, and Alexandria right now. Text works though.

this is every Saturday and Sunday morning for us.... lately, I sit on the floor and she jumps off the couch and I catch her and toss her back onto the couch

my favorite part of the weekend

 

Haha yeah I took his teething toy and gnaw on it and he tries to climb over me to get it back...he is trying to stand..wants to skip crawling and go to walking and climbing

 

that's exactly what Allison did... scooted for awhile, tried to crawl for a week, and then decided that standing and walking was better haha

 

That's where I think we are headed...he scoots in circles but then just grabs on and tries to stand...

He loves the bouncy so much he falls asleep bouncing....

 

that's awesome man! I both look forward to, and dread "starting over" w/ a new baby this December haha

 

Welcome to the no sleep department again...

 

I have read that if they skip crawling that actually slows them down. Something about coordination. Not sure if there is any validity to it.
Both of my kids were fairly early walkers. They crawled early, and were both walking pretty well by around 10 months. My younger one took forever to start talking, to the point we were taking him to the speech therapist. I told her he would talk when he was ready, but she insisted. Now he never stops talking haha.
Kids are a life changing event, but I wouldn't change it for anything.

That’d be terrifying if you got in a wreck, called 911, and it didn’t work and you had no idea why.

 

Seriously though, I’d never think to text 911 either. That’s a really big issue for Verizon
