Lift does not necessarily change what tires you can fit. Aftermarket lifts are geared towards increased travel over stock. You need to clearance the wheel wells at a certain point to clear.

However, as FMF said, 255's are probably your best bet for a 33'' tire with minor clearance issues (if any) with a 3'' lift. 285's are almost certainly going to rub the cab mount under full stuff / full lock.

Hm, thanks guys. I don't know a whole lot about this all so i'm still trying to figure it all out haha I was planning on keeping the stock sport 17" rims, so i could do a 255/80 then.. Maybe I'll do that over the 265/70's. Since they are narrower than the 265's do you think I'd still need as much of a spacer? Couldn't hurt I guess. Tires confuse the hell out of me for some odd reason lol

Edit: I lied. Apparently that's not a normal tire size. lol looks like i'll either have to stick with the 32" tires like originally planned, find a really cheap set of 16" wheels, or somehow fit a 285 in there.

255/80/17 is a standard tire. Joneill03 on here runs that size.

    There is also a 255/75/17 I believe.

See if he wants to sell the rack. I need a couple more slays in the front to make her solid.

You can fit 33''s. You need to do similar stuff as we do with 35''s. With the exception of the cab mount chop.

    So that is.

    - bang the crap out of your pinch welds

    - remove your flaps and bang behind them. There's a weird box there

    - cut a slight amount of the inner fender plastic

Or come to my house whenever, and we will prep your truck for the new tires. I have all the tools and the time.

Keep in mind tire sizes vary from manufacturer. It is not much, but sometimes that can be the difference between trimming or not.

    BFG Km2 285's are 33 x 11.5 vs Nitto Trial Grappler that is 33.15 x 11.8

I would pick a tire/size and then trim if you have to.

Skygear helped me with putting on my All pro Expos and some wiring. He really knows his stuff, but his 35s will make you jealous.

Should be a lot of threads about Rausch on TW. I think it's the biggest on the East Coast?

Depending on what I've got going on that weekend I'd be down. I may still be stock then, but I've heard it's awesome. Lots of friends go there.

Where in MoCo are you? I'm up in the Damascus/Germantown area

I am going as the token Toyota in a big Jeep group. But I would love to go out with some fellow Tacomas! I have been going with the jeep folks since they where the only group I found going out regularly.

I should be able to come "help." Never done it before, so I would mainly be there to for moral support than anything else.

We could also bleed your brakes after the snorkel is set up. Just let me know what time you were thinking.
