Done. A few others liked the idea, so we will see how it grows. If it dies on the vine so to speak, no biggie.

I will join but in all honesty I don't find Facebook's interface that much easier to follow than TW. Also, there are already a bunch of NOVA/DC Toyota and Tacoma groups that aren't too busy, so dying on the vine is possible.

I'm in, just ignore my bitching ^^^^.

These ones are good. A little more euro car sounding because ones a lower pitch and ones a high pitch. Loud as fuck though and really pierces through traffic.

Or these are what I have, two pairs. More oem sounding, but not quite as loud.

If you care, you can ask questions to anyone requesting to join. I’m an admin for a FL group (I moved here from there) and we ask people where they’re from and what kind of Toyota they drive. Keeps the randos out.

Yeah, some of the skydiving groups do that to make sure you know something about skydiving and aren't just there to spam the group. I doubt this one would get so big and active that deleting an occassional user would be burdensome.

@EatSleepTacos so the relay that comes with the kit is enough for those right? I shouldnt need to buy that recommended relay kit?

It is a 12 step program. In most programs, step 1 is to admit you have a problem. In my 12 step program, step 1 is to admit that you probably are not going to get laid regardless of what you do and accept that. Once you can do that, the rest is easy.

Yeah the relay it comes with will be fine. But then you’ll need wiring and connectors and stuff. I have all the stuff needed if you wanna do it here.

You could do what I did and keep the stock horns but add a relay and install both the Supertones and the Sharptones......All of those different pitches make the truck sound like it has a train horn. I'm a fan.

Do any of those pull enough amps more than OEM to even need different wiring or relays? Seems it should be a straight swap.

Hmm I like it! Can't remember if I tossed my stock horns though.

Yeah I have a similar set up on my Subaru. I have two pairs of the sharp tones and they’re nice and loud.
I’ll habe to double check the spec sheet, but the supertones are close to the limit if not over. They draw a lot of power.

On my old Scion I installed with stock wiring, and then wired in a relay and it was a night and day difference. It may be different on a Tacoma though since the circuit may be able to handle more

The Sharptones are fine to swap out with the OEM horns, they are a little lower pitch than the Supertones and have a much lower amp draw. The Supertones are suppose to be around 7amps a piece so you could blow a fuse on the OEM circuit....

Edit: The interwebs say 5.5Amps for the Supertones

Now that I have my rears figured out, thanks to @Darkgoatracer (too easy, again, I know, please @Superman910 and @Cody23 don't go too overbaord with this, we want @IPNPULZ to come back to the thread eventually), I am looking for 5100s for the front and some 884s. Let me know if you all come across a good deal or have a good used pair you're looking to get rid of. I will be checking ebay and prime today, but doesn't hurt to have some feelers out here.
