So my tires came in today. Went to radial tire in silver spring MD today and they didnt want to swap tires until i trimmed it up cause it looked too tight. What exactly do I need to trim? I Have plates ordered for CMC that should be in Thursday besides that i think the fenders need to come off.

 

What size tires?

33s. 285/75R16. I wish I went straight to dirty5s

 

No lift though? You’ll probably have to do some good trimming without a lift

 

No lift. Unless I could get a lift for cheap/quick Ill be trimming but idk what exactly to trim cause I cant get the tires on first to check it out.

 

Do you have 5 tires? If the spare wheel has the same spec as your wheels you could mount that and use it to trim. I’d imagine there will be a lot of trimming though

 

It doesn’t look like it has much room but I’m determined to make it work

Id start with the lip on the flares, about 6" up, cut off the last 8" of liner. Beat the pinch weld, remove the mud flaps and do a cmc

 

And when that doesnt work either buy a lift or take the fenders and bedsides off.

Wish i woulda known. I threw away my front spacers and rear aal. Atleast you would be lifted

And you didn't have to pay that surcharge...

 

For the rear, just take off the mudflaps. I'm running 315/70r17s on the stock rear suspension and nothing rubs (as long as you don't flex ). I can't say for the front as I'm already CMC'd, fiberglass fenders, LT, and Kings.

 

Yeah I didnt think it would be bad for the rear. The front looks like I need to remove those fenders and a CMC

 

Is there anyone close to you running a similarly sized tire that you could throw on? Even if it's a different wheel, you'll at least have an idea of where to start trimming.
