I saw someone by the hedges run shopping center in Woodbridge yesterday around 2:30.. Lifted grey taco with bumpers, a bed rack, and an RTT. Who was that? Very nice truck.

We waved at each other haha

Anyone want to help me Wednesday? Need some moral support while installing the TC LCA's and cutting up the LBJ steering stops/ - Then installing my OB-LPG (On Board Propane) Tank. Swapping out Fridge/Freezer and starting the packing for the AZ trip.

I'm game. Maybe we can fire up the propane grill out back. I know its the middle of the week. Just trying to wrap everything up for an early departure before all the traffic of the weekend kicks in for the travel.

 Maybe I'll have you redo my shoddy soldering on my quick disconnects for my 3rd brake light if we have time.. haha me with a soldering iron is like a 5 year old with a glue gun. it'll hold, but it gets everywhere and looks like shit.

I'll shoot you a text when I get off work Wednesday and am heading that way. Might swing by my apt first, but since I'm only a few miles away now it won't take long lol

Hey, I might be up for that. I just changed out my half axle, so I'm feeling pretty confident. What time are you looking at? and where? I can probably pull a half day and head over. Working on a truck is better than working in an office!

Think I broke a bone in my face. I slammed a 17mm combo wratcheting wrench into my nose/cheek at full force pulling my hub/bearing out when it slipped off the bolt head. Heard a crack, then the nose started bleeding. Still real tender and slight discoloration of the area. It was painful and I hollered out a single "yioooooow" as I teared up and shook my head to subside the pain.

    Good news and bad.

Good. Picking up lowers early am from UPS.

Bad,.. the rest is coming FEDEX & USPS. No clue when that will be. 3ish? I'll be getting it together all day. Plenty of other tasks to complete.

I'll be painting and baking the lowers black before the install. So that's 8am pickup, 10 min home. 20 min prep, 20 min paint. 10 min dry. 15 min bake. 20 min cool down.

At some point I'll take off the UCA'S and attempt to un cease the heim adjustment bolts and replace the drivers side uniball.

Got a quote for the hard anodizing and dying the UCA's black. ~250 for the pair. I have to completely disassemble them though. Not happening any time soon. Was more curious

You have the billet ICON UCA's right? Don't they come anodized from the factory?

Also, get your face looked at man! Had a buddy who almost went blind from the swelling a week later after breaking his cheek bone.

Damn, that sounds pretty painful. Hopefully it's just bruised and nothing worse!

I'm not too sure they are anodized. I put the multimeter up to them and got a reading. Thats not a good thing. It would explain some of the discoloration on the caps I have been getting and why the dis similar metals are binding in the uniball cups. Not the expert on it, but would feel a little more comfortable if when I stuck my multimeter on them, they read OPEN and not continuity.

Black would be my preferred color anyways. More subdued, and potentially less looky loos when I am driving. People swerve into me all the time looking at the shiny suspension components. With them dark, hopefully less to look at.

my face. Took some IB-800 and no swelling to speak of right now. Possibly just bruised and nothing severe. Bloody nasal cavity and thats about it. No re aggravated drips so thats good.

    Truck got inspected today.

Rescued a female driver in a honda Pilot that plowed into a Fiat 500 - both vehicles are totaled by the looks of it. fiat had all side airbags deploy. honda had front airbags. Female in honda had broken leg, 2 broken wrists from what I was able to gather (her boyfriend messaged me). Cleared the vehicles off the road, and remnants of the accident. 1 ambulance, 2 wreckers, and a korean lady in the fiat that would not get off the phone the whole time. She was more worried about the conversation than the well being of the others around her. LEO's were not happy, neither were the first responders. Fiat went across traffic causing it.

Doesn't sounds like they're anodized then.. Ohmmeter should essentially read infinity or max out on anodized aluminum. Could it be that the anodized coating is just thin and wearing off, or possibly testing a corner? hitting the corner of anodized surfaces can kinda get funky results too.

Good to hear about the cheek.

And, people around here are oblivious and stupid when it comes to driving. One of the main reasons I'm looking into getting a hardwired dashcam. I'm on the road so much that it's only a matter of time... just rolled over 60K on my 2013 yesterday
