I want to say that sliders are recommended at AOAA too but @EatSleepTacos would know better.

Maybe hit up flagpole before it starts getting super cold?

It depends on the trails you hit. Can definitely be done without sliders! I’ve done it without them.

I'd be down for flagpole never been! From what i read about AOAA they have trails for different difficulties from n00b to #randyfab lol.

Ask anybody who went to Sleepy Creek a couple weeks ago. I made it though at stock height and no armor.

That is good to hear, seems like its always conflicting reports lol. or someone "makes it" but still ends up with some sort of damage besides pinstripes.

I havent been to green ridge either, Really whatever anyone else wants to do. I am not picky. Green ridge does look fun with those water crossings which is something i havent experienced enough yet besides flash floods in old town.

Green ridge is sweet, I camp there a lot with friends. You really cant beat it! $10 a night for a pretty remote site (aslong as you stay on the southside of 68), Huge park to explore with some sweet overlooks, swimming holes, some 4x4 only trails but nothing too intense, and the campsites are well maintained. The range there is nice. I believe its $5 a person, no range officer, covered shooting area so you can shoot rain or shine. Bring your own targets and pick up your own brass though. Im up for anything as well though!

Just keep your weapons in their designated case unloaded and keep your ammo separated and youll be fine transporting. All my buddies I camp with walk around with their pieces on their hips while we camp, then if the park ranger comes by (which I've camped there 25+ times and have never had one stop by) they'll just hurry up and hide them somewhere. lol. We even do the occasional camp pop!

Oh don't worry, there was a bit of carnage that went on underneath the truck but that's nothing a slight lift and skid plates can't take care of the next time.
