Anyone know if there is a good junkyard/vehicle graveyard within reasonable driving distance to NOVA? I'd love to grab an OEM tailgate handle for my 2014 Tacoma. Not too happy with the Pop N Lock I've had for a year now and can't find my OEM handle.

May I ask why you are not happy with it? Which model #?

I have the 5400 which you use your ignition key to unlock. The handle feels somewhat flimsy but it still worked fine for the first 6 months or so. Now it's really hard to open the tailgate if the handle warms up in the sun any. I opened up the tailgate and lubed all of the moving pieces and that didn't help at all. Looks like it's a common problem with these Pop N Locks.

Ah. I think im just going to get the remote lock edition. PL8521. I need a way to lock my tailgate. Came back to my truck the other day with tailgate down and off the hinges. My dumbass thought a locked cap would keep them out but they just forced the tailgate right under the cap. :frusty: Havnt found a solution to remote lock my ARE cap yet... cant find anything. :annoyed:

EDIT: I have thought about going to the pick-a-parts but they are so far from me. Check them out. If you go, let me know.

Cool. Let me know if you ever need an extra set of hands when working on your truck!

Would anyone be able to recommend a good Camper Shell dealer in the NOVA/DC/MD area? I live in Burke, and am looking to put a quality cap on my taco and hopefully not break the bank >_> I've had basically zero luck finding anything on craigslist in our area.

I believe they should be the same, but not 100% sure.

That sounds fun, is it passable on stock tires/suspension? Still saving for a mid travel kit and 33s for it so I'm still pretty stock.

Easily. Most of the trail doesn't even need 4wheel drive. It's more of a scenic trail. still fun though.
