Cool, I’m not up until December though. I was just trying to scope it out early. Technically my headlights are illegal because they are a HID retrofit. For some reason VA has a law that says your bulb type needs to match the housing. I don’t think it’ll be an issue as long as they are aimed properly.

From what I can tell, the change in the law is that the line in the inspection manual that said auxiliary lights had to be covered was removed. Now it says that if the lights aren't covered they are subject to inspection and every form of lighting covered in the inspection manual has to be DOT marked or have the appropriate SAE markings for their intended use.

 

Well when the time comes let me know...Im thinking about getting mine inspected tonight.

 

Jeez man, wow they are getting pretty nuts these days. Glad my days here are numbered.

 

I have retrofitted lights and all kinds of mods and i passed inspection a week ago at a place on Rt 1 I like to go.

 

Glad to see a positive experience...I think two guys now have gotten rejected in the Hampton roads area. Not that Im that worried since I got a hook up either way, but good to know for others.
