Been wanting to check that place out for sure. Powers Farm Brewery near Warrenton has a veterans day thing this coming Sunday...looking forward to that! Speaking of good beer, did a mini tour of a few here in Redlands, CA last night; Escape, Ritual, and Bootleggers. Had an IPA infused with Thai Tea...doesn't sound that great but it was delicious!

To quote one of the greatest movies of all time, "I'll be there, man!" I have been wanting to try their beer since I moved up here.

@BTHawk I'm just a wheat/white ale and Hefe guy when it comes to beer. But the northwest and Nor Cal has some killer breweries. I was stationed in Astoria Oregon, and lived by Rogue it was pretty sweet. I went to school for my job in Petaluma CA and was at Laguantias all the time. that place was awesome before it went mainstream. it used to be run by potheads that just opened whenever stay open until people stopped showing up or people got too high haha.

 

...and you don't have a taste for IPA's?

 

Never could get into it. the only one i ever liked would be considering shitty by IPA snobs lol. Not a fan of stouts and stuff like that either. it feels like I ate thanksgiving meal after drinking a stout.

It tasted pretty mild to me. at least compared to the stuff that american micro brewers are putting out these days.

 

How could IPA snobs not like that with the 9.2% ABV and the 150 IBU's?

 

Open to anywhere last trip was my first time out.

 

not sure i had it years ago, but it was pretty smooth and didnt taste bitter at all.

 

Want to go to Bald Mountain? I havent been before so I just need to find out where the trail head is.

 

Is it required to have a winch or any recovery gear for Bald Mountain? I only have straps and D-Rings. Also don't care much for pinstripes but if that's the worst that could happen I could deal with them...and buff out later.

 

I am not sure. I have never been. But the only place I've been to is Peters Mill Run around here so I wanted to try somewhere new.

 

If you take the alternate jeep trail it's tight AF. Otherwise, it was pretty open when we went last December. Straps and d-rings should be good enough. I crunched a bedside, but that was on the alt trail and getting pulled so I had no say on my line.

 

I believe Green Ridge is more user friendly and is about a two hour drive. I've never been to either.

Bald Mountain is where @JWROSE4 got stuck.
A winch wont be necessary if you have another truck with a strap.

It's also not a good trail for taking a large group.

 

We can do Green Ridge if you want. I havent been either. A couple weeks ago on their website they have several trail closures due to washout from the rain. Im going to call them in a minute and see.

EDIT: Their website hasnt changed with the notice to several trail closures. I called and said there were several closures still.

So maybe we could try Flag Pole or something?
