I think every where will go up... Obviously the closer to metro or vre the better, but I imagine the whole area will see increases because of it.

5-10 more years and that's what Haymarket to Front Royal will feel like. I love my location now but 3 years from now it won't be the same at all. They are already clearing trees and all along 55 near the Farm Brewery to build more stuff.

 

I fucking hope not but I wouldn't doubt it... There is some clearing and grading currently going on, or was when I left last month, on 55 and Antioch Rd. Give it 5 years and it's very possible.

 

Geez, thats crazy I was half joking. So in Fairfax some developers bought Paul the 6th school and are leveling it gonna cram in shops and housing for approx 2700 new residents. I dont know if youve seen it, but its not a large property. They are building their new school out on that weird part of Braddock near you. They will just cram people in where it is possible. I'm surprised they arent tearing down county parks and shit yet.

 

Oh man, I hadn't heard about that. This area is just getting ridiculous. Talk about urban sprawl.

There was a town hall meeting when I was home and I'm mad I missed it but it was about development in the area. I'm pretty sure there is a new neighborhood going on right at the intersection of 55/Antioch about a .5 from the brewery. All plots were I am at are 5 acres are larger. I think it's a matter of time before ppl see the dollar signs and get them rezoned and start selling off. Urban sprawl is nuts. I need land in WV.

 

Yea thats crazy man I wouldnt doubt if they start rezoning. I just read up about Fairfax County "wanting" citizens input about the county park way. one of the options they have brought up was widen it and toll roads. the real problem on the park way is there are too many roads with traffic lights that either just need ramps or dead ended and not continue to be through roads. The back ups are always at the same choke points like Popes Head Road. and a couple others. This toll shit is getting really annoying, but if you give a mouse a cookie...

 

The tolls are ridiculous on 495. I love how the taxpayers paid for it and then they privatized it.

 

While I hate the tolls, it is nice that I can ride the motorcycle on 495 without tolls.

 

Yep.. I read an article about that too. If they do that, it will suck. When working at home I use the Parkway to get to work. Tolls will suck as will the construction for all the residential neighborhoods along the parkway to create the ramps and all. I really hope that doesn't happen. Shit show in the making and I feel sorry for residents along there.
