Northern Virginia Roll Call

It’s straight up ice here in arlington. I’ve got to go to my client site most of the day...I haven’t seen anything about federal closures but hopefully I don’t have to go anymore haha

 

I said the same thing. Peeked out my window and it looks the same as any other morning.

 

It's snowing here

 

We have a light rain here.

 

Just started here as well. I’ll be damned

 

Yeah it’s actually snow now and coming down pretty good. It’s not sticking on the road though

 

No delays that I've heard down my way. It was a rain/sleet/snow mix at my house. Here at work it's just snow. Starting to collect a little in the grass but just wet/slushy roads so far.

 

This is awesome! Plus i have a 2hr delay at work. Lol

The roads are better here.. better because the snow stuck

 

Roads are pretty slick and Not plowed. Just did fairfax to Bethesda. Traffic moving decent on inner beltway.

 

I took the day off weeks ago for my youngest thanksgiving lunch at his school. So far fairfax is still open. Seems like every other district is closed though. Surprised with all the snow coming down they havent changed to closed

 

Just talked to the wife... she's pissed. She left work this am and headed to the house to get the truck and couldn't get up our private driveway. Of course, it's all my fault that I didn't tell her yesterday she may want to get to the truck since there was a chance of snow. Now she is driving back from Haymarket to Falls Church back to her parents and fighting the traffic on 66... she sent me some pics and the roads are definitely snow covered in the Gainesville/Haymarket areas. I'll post a few pics later.

Luckily my pad is about 7k miles away right now or that prolly would be it... albeit not one near as nice as they one you provided a picture of.

 

I would be shocked if they dont call if soon. But it will be shifting to rain.

FWIW... I had the best commute this morning I've had in weeks. Left Berryville at 6, got to my office in Chantilly at 6:40 (and stopped at Chick-Fil-A to grab a biscuit at the drive thru). So 45 miles in 40 minutes with a stop.

Had all rain until Chantilly when started seeing snow. Near zero traffic.

 

50 in Fairfax, and 28 to Sterling. A lot more snow than I thought. Weatherman sucks lol
