You might want to check your pads. If they are worn your fluid will appear low. Now that you have added fluid, if the pads are in need of replacement, you will need to remove some brake fluid when you install the new pads. Otherwise, you may have a leak.

 

The fluid level will drop and normally will hit the low level when the pads/shoes are ready to be changed and worn. The fluid is displaced into the piston bores. Also brake fluid is a hydrophilic so it traps moisture and the caps on the reservoir are not sealed so some is lost through evaporation.

Oh yeah, I know I need new brake pads. Was just trying to rule out a faulty light on the dash. Will replace pads when I get back from Thanksgiving travel. Just didn't realize that light alerts you to low fluid.

Just don't forget to remove some brake fluid before you compress the caliper plungers in. Otherwise you will have a mess on your hands.

 

^^^^^^This^^^^^^ and brake fluid will eat paint like nobody's business. If the light is coming on you might want to watch how much driving you are doing because those pads are probably pretty darn low. You don't want to do new rotors until you have to.

 

Or, that would be a good excuse for a big brake ugrade

What can I say I like having a neverending project It's only been a little over a yr since I started modding the truck. So this is moving somewhat quickly anyways. Ordered some little things today.

 

Shackle flip, leaf springs, ubolt flip, bump stops, and 5125's

 

FYI they don't count fuzzy dice and a case of plasti dip as mods in here

 

Nope fumoto valve, a body mount bushing that got lost at URE (funny story and no not one that was under the truck), some rock lights, a oil catch can, rearview mirror riser. Hmmmm I may be missing something. Chevy 63 swap kit will be fri. Next week shock relocation. then the 63s. I am going to research more into shocks. I found some information but don't think it's 100% correct I may burn myself or be a trendsetter we'll see.

 

What is this Plastidip you speak of. I've had my fair share of fuzzy dice! I had a 70s pimped out 2 door lincoln Mark IV it had fuzzy dice but they fit that car well.
