Ahhh I gotcha. Then yes I would add the tracks. Helps distribute the weight a bit.

I have a reinforced roof so I just drilled holes in my roof and bolted the feet right on, but not everyone has that ability.

Yeah you can tell by looking at the inside of the roof. What do you plan on putting on the prinsu? Anything heavy like an RTT or is it just for the occasional long object?

Personally I’d spring for the tracks then. Sucks as it’s a little pricier but it’ll be done right as they’ll help distribute the load better.

There are cheaper options though. Start here and read down.

Yeah i would Recommend the tracks and at least 6 mounting feet for a RTT. I used The Yakima tracks but Thule makes some
As well. 54 in length for tracks. Make sure you drill outside of honey comb for bolts through tracks. And order extra A anchors unless your rack came with them.

I just purchased Rhino Rack tracks because they were cheaper than the thule/yakima models. I have not used them yet, but when I compared them to my old Yakima tracks, the quality appeared to be the same.

Id check out Yakima spare parts tracks (if you have Yakima feet) or equivalent. The "spare parts" are usually cheaper than a new kit.

not sure if this is what youre looking for..

@Cody23 X2 and who makes it? Also, aren't there different bolts required to fit the 3rd gen? I could have sworn I read somewhere that the main difference from 2nd to 3rd Gen was bolts. I'll see if I can find it.

What you have now doesn’t matter, you just need some tracks. Check out the thread I linked you to for off brand tracks. You can get fully set up for less than $200. Then the prinsu feet will bolt directly to the tracks with the supplied prinsu hardware.
