Ripped up a brand new snatch strap (ARB) on getting a plow truck out Saturday night. They'll let anyone drive a plow. That guy ended up breaking a tie rod. Had to abandon the plow truck. Anyway, I'm done with helping idiots out there. They shouldn't be out there in their "awd ford escapes." A smart car blocked our road.....a smart car! I just drive around them now.

I'm in the same situation here. Still haven't plowed my circle. What's even more frustrating is 30 yards away the road is clear. I'm getting real cabin fever here and I've been contemplating going for it. The wife has been quick to shoot down the idea. Why did it have to be 35 inches of snow. I could've probably cleared mid to low 20's. Anyways, if you go for it keep me posted. Curious to see how it panes out.

Well still haven't seen a plow which is frustrating because about .5 mile away roads are plowed at least to a single lane. With the warm temps and a bit of cabin fever, I thought I would give it a try. No joy. Got my rear bumper to the mailbox and then I just spun four tires on slush which essentially turned to ice. 4wd, locker, atrac. Nothing helped. Dug myself out and backed her into the driveway, hanging my head.

I got to pull a fiat 500 abarth off of high center, dude kept saying the tires are good. They are good at being racing tires but not much else.
Then pulled a acura MDX off the same spot.
Come on people if you are that unsure of your ability, you have no need yo be out.
Hope everyone else is having fun.

They eventually brought the big toys to clear out street. After four days, I was doubtful any normal plow would have been able to get the job done. 47c1b0b3d3570aeee131cf93e918f4bd_91d3debcb902838440619108b757c6d5351c0d12.jpg

I'm hoping yall can point me in the right direction - picking out a replacement battery that'll give me what I need for my new winch. I don't want or need anything over the top, don't really want to mod the mount if I don't need to, but I realize you get what you pay for and need a minimum 650cca. Any recommendations? - preferably something with local vendors in case there's a warranty issue.

(I know I just missed the Northstar group buy.)

We didn't see a snow plow until Tuesday afternoon. Our heater quit on Sunday night, I woke up and it was 60 in the house. I figured the roof vents had clogged up with snow, so I climbed up to the roof, damn near soiled myself, and made it to the vents to clear them. The exhaust was completely clear and the intake was mostly clear. I called the hvac company and they said they couldn't get someone there till the road was plowed. They finally got there Wednesday morning. The controller board had gone south, it was not sending the signal to open the gas valve :( I had the fireplace roaring Monday morning till Wednesday, was able to keep downstairs at a reasonable 70*, but upstairs was about 62. So I didn't get to have much fun last weekend, apart from using the new snowblower that I got last September. I think I cleared 5 driveways and sidewalks for neighbors.

Nicer than my neighbors...I was out in my driveway shoveling for about 3 hours just to get 2/3rds it while almost every single one of my neighbors used a blower to clear theirs then walked back inside.
