Is @Halffast555 the only "younger" Marine in here? That is why I don't get the crayons thing; I'm an old man by Marine Corps standards. :D

That joke has been around for a long time. They call all us jarheads crayon eaters cuz they think we are dumb. That is until shit hits the fan and they get behind us. Sure we act silly in garrison. Get into trouble. We only shine when rounds are coming at us and the fun begins.

Looking at that antenna configuration and the ECM system it's running, there is a decent chance I might have installed some of the comms/ecm equipment on that truck. I did a lot of work on MATV's from 11-14 before coming over to State.

Agreed. I admit that I didn't do a whole lot of research (other than real estate and house shopping) when moving up from SC to VA but I was surprised when I found VA state income tax was 2% lower than SC. That 2% doesn't make up for the county tax on personal property or vehicles, but was surprised nonetheless. 2% is better than no 2%... and some other things are actually a lot cheaper for me too. My vehicle insurance in VA is considerably cheaper...

Agreed again.. him and Max Powell have the MBRP and to me it doesn't sound bad. Max Powells seems pretty loud in the truck but good from the outside but I haven't seen the MBRP in stainless for our trucks, only aluminized.. thats a no go for me.

EDIT: I did find the MBRP in stainless..

Property tax is through the roof in Texas..

EDIT: Scrolling the rest of the way through and saw the other property tax comparisons. Working overseas though, a lot of guys like TX, TN, WA, etc because of the no state income tax but I know a lot of guys that live in TX and get raped by property taxes... more so than NoVa. Paying 7-9k a year in taxes for 2500'ish sq ft houses in the San Antonio or DFW areas. That's crazy.

Long time, eh? I must have somehow missed when that joke first came out; I honestly just heard about it within the last year. When I said I didn't get the crayon thing, I didn't mean that I don't understand its because they think we are dumb and all that. I just don't understand why they chose crayons? Whatever, it's always all good. I do enjoy the inter-service ribbing, and I'm obviously thinking way too much about it and just need to drop it.

Snowing and sticking out here in Warrenton.
