Huskey or Weathertech? This sand/salt slop is overwhelming the crap dealer mats.

 

I’ve had both. I prefer husky

Are the dealer installed worth anything, or should I just keep em in the crawl space?

Oh Husky or Weathertech will be way better than the dealer ones. Pricey but worth it.

You've heard of "Daper Dan Man" though right, RIGHT?

 

Depends on the condition and if you have the rears also. You can sell them on eBay. I actually sold my carpet ones on eBay for like $100 or something stupid like that. The dealer screwed up and gave me both the carpet ones and the all weather so I immediately sold the carpet ones.

 

I know dapper dan is a phrase but didn’t know it was an actual person

I don't think it was a person but the phrase was used to refer to guys who used a brand of hair grease called Daper Dan. I think it's from the 1930s or something but made famous from the movie "O Brother Where Art Thou."

 

I have Weathertech in all my other cars. But Husky looks more heavy duty -- was going to give them a try.

Not at all. You're better off with the aftermarket ones as they will contain more liquid and dirt/mud better and they're much easier to clean. I prefer WeatherTech and have them in all my vehicles.

 

Yeah, well after sledding w/ the kids and roaming around salt/sand/sludge covered parking lots, the OEM mats are overflowing and just not doing a good job.

 

I meant worth anything as in, is there a market for them if I were to attempt to sell them
