You remember that quaint driving range/course there that got turned into a 55+ community? Wonder how many golf balls are hidden on that site

 

That course was tough as shit and was a great break for a long lunch...I really miss it. The 55+ community thing sucks but money is everything even if it is situated on a landfill...

 

I moved away for a while, but I remember there being a really pretty farmhouse somewhere in that block that's now a Panda Express. Pretty much my dream house.

 

That must've been like forever ago! I've been there 14 years and don't recall any farmhouses.

I hope I'm off the weekend you do it. My schedule is kinda fubared right now. If I stay on the same schedule I'm on now I will be off. I have to go to the UK for training the first week of April so hopefully I'm off the weekend prior.

 

We don't follow OPM at work either. For us, they sent out a notice earlier that said base opens at 0900, but unscheduled leave or telework was authorized. A final decision is supposed to be made NLT 0700 tomorrow as to whether we're closed or open.

I like @ARCHIVE's stuff. It's stout, and he has good customer service. Not sure what would make an axle shock mount better or worse for SOA vs SUA. Either way it's going to support the eye. Being SOA, the mount should be rotated farther up the axle, so you shouldn't have to worry about snagging it.

 

Where is that located, was it on Beulah? Don't recall any Panda Express locations IVO.

Kinda this depends a lot on thickness of leaf pack, length of shock, how much droop/bump you want, etc. The way AG has theirs designed is it sits ~a 45* off the axle tube so that the bottom of it is parallel to the ground. I can take a pick of my AG kit so you can see what I mean if you want.

I'm certainly no expert but it looked to me it was made to be further down on the axle making in better for spring under. A mid axle mount would stick out kinda far or reduce travel if mounted further up. Again I'm far from an expert but that was my initial thoughts.

 

I do remember that now, forgot about that cut through road just before Beulah.

 

Yup I have the 23rd marked on my calendar. I have every other weekend off but I'm still in training and not sure what shift I will end up with at that time
