Been too busy at work to catch up on the thread. Anyone got highlights? Supposed to be a rain free weekend. Any camping plans ?

Idk about camping this weekend but I may go drive Skyline and some fire roads. depends. if its even remotely nice everywhere will be crowded as hell im sure.

 

I'm sandblasting a clawfoot tub on Saturday. That sounds like a fucking blast too, right?

 

@GoGoGadget and @crashdb - I purchased sliders last night from SOS. I'll keep y'all updated on the status but I don't have a lead time yet. Either way, it's much appreciated. If TW express works, awesome, and I owe ya. If not, I appreciate the thought and I'll arrange to get them.

got a little less than 4 hours. so basically my normal nap time on my days off.

 

No worries. I don't have a set date to go down so there's a chance I could work around when they're ready.

Anyone have any good ideas on how to mount mud flaps to or around my fenders?

 

Did you buy that shape pre-cut or did you cut it out of a sheet? If you have bigger sheets, you could use those bolts farther inboard with fender washers to attached the inside edge. If you don't have extra material, make a bracket to go from those bolts to attach the edge of the flap to. If there's enough of a lip at the edge, you could use clip nuts (https://www.mcmaster.com/clip-on-nuts). If there isn't enough of a lip, you could use an angle bracket bolted to the face of the fender. It shouldn't be too noticable if you use some paint matched body washers on the outside (https://www.kartek.com/parts-categories/threaded-panel-mounts-hardware.html). Or be extra ballin' and use some fancy 1/4-turn hardware (https://www.kartek.com/parts-categories/quarter-turn-panel-fasteners.html).
