Be leery, Dave’s brakes are questionable at best. Make him lead.

That sucks. If it was a lot, you should be able to file a claim through your auto or renters insurance to cover the cost of replacing the tools.

Same here. That's why I still had 1/8" or more of pad on my factory front brakes @120k when I upgraded to the 4Runner brakes.

I would engine brake from 70 to 25 mph every day coming up to the toll plaza to cross the Nice Bridge.

I would like to upgrade to those too sooner rather than later. My brakes suck. I’m not surprised though. Autozone pads and I weigh 5,800 lbs

I think it has to be renters insurance or home insurance. Most car insurance policies don't cover theft. Just my personal experience. As a side note I also hate people that steal things.

I bought all the brake components for mine from Rock Auto. It was under $400. All the parts I bought are listed in the first post of my build thread.

Damn, that really sucks. No respect for other people's property these days. Unfortunately, there's not much you can do about it unless you get lucky and catch the perp...of course that opens up a whole other can of worms. I believe @Rome604 is right, you should be covered under home/renters insurance.
