Yea I kinda figured that was the case. Never been in an accident but it’s been on the frame machine a couple times. I’m going to do what you recommend and notch it and weld it.

Yeah I think that’d be the easiest way to do it. Better than trying to just bend the tube haha

Anybody here have the capability of swaping some 700 lb coils out on the saw coilovers tomorrow? I can pay with donuts AND beer AND 27 canadian pesos. (Thats my entire savings).

You need the whole thing done or just the springs swapped?

I have a compressor. I can swap the springs, but I don't have time to do the entire thing. My compressor is the type with the two perches that squeezes the spring. I'll guess that it should do them.

Well dave, i see you are located in manassas, same as me. What would you think about me borrowing your compressor and bringing it back tomorrow? Of course, if i break it i will blame it on @Superman910 and have him pay for it.

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)

I dont really think its necessary for tubing on a third gen. If I wanted to swap my ucas to SPC i could do that and then adjust from there. They have alot more adjustability than the JBA. If I keep rubbing, I'll go that route before ever thinking about tub

I'm fine with that. I will say it'll probably require air tools. I've never used it without them so I don't know how bad it would be without. Cordless impact stuff would probably work.

Hey guys, my GF and I are visiting Williamsburg this weekend. We just went out to eat and our bill had what seemed to be 11 percent sales tax added to it. Is that right for this area???? Seems insane

I don’t blame you, most people don’t want to go through the effort or cost of tubbing and I definitely get that.

According to the interwebs it's like 13%

You are paying a meal tax and a sale tax. One is 5 and the other 8

Yeah, if someone doesn’t have the capability, paying someone to do it would be expensive.

That’s why I taught myself welding, because I knew I had a lot of fab stuff I wanted to do and no way I was paying someone to do it.

Most touristy places do that. The locals vote for it since it mostly hits up visitors. Meals tax and hotel taxes.
