@UntamedTaco and I did Blakey Ridge this am. The fire road is much rougher than in the summer. Passed three hunters. I stopped at Prince Michaels to see @Casper66 but unfortunately he was not working. Wheeling was good and more experience for me. I want to get to the point where I feel comfortable in most situations.

the sign at the beer bar said to go to the wine bar. I asked the girl if I could talk to the brewer. She said no one was working on the holiday. What a bummer!

 

Does it run into rapidan road ? We talking just a rocky road or off camber 4wd needed kinda stuff ? Sounds fun. I'm going to get out after Christmas and break in the new suspension.

 

It's mostly just a rocky road. Compare it to FPK without the couple of off camber spots. I went into 4H but probably could have done it in 2H. Never went into 4L.

 

It dumped us out on Aylor Rd.

Deer , bear or small game ? I been slacking on hunting this year.

 

You’ve been slacking? I haven’t bought a license yet. Would have been deer today the bear quiet down after Thanksgiving especially since I don’t use dogs

 

We’ll have to make a run back up there in the spring. I have some rear suspension work to get done and the ruts up there will be a good test. I can take you in a different way and we can run the trail that goes over to Wolfrown. I usually go in up by Crigglersville off Quaker Run rd

 

That is the way I know to go. I want to do German and Fire ridges but with someone that has run them at least once. I was surprised with the deep ruts on the up and down hill sections. The rocky parts were about the same. There were more mud puddles. The hunters were pulled over to side so there were no problems passing. I go fairly slow and am very cautious picking lines, I think it took us about an hour to run. There is supposedly a similar road near Whitehall called Heart break rd but I cannot tell if is open to OR vehicles. Does the other way in go thru Ruth?

 

Are you going to be there this Friday? If so I will drive down to try your Vienna larger and have lunch.

 

I have no idea I have only been through the Quaker run way. We can plan it a little better maybe for the spring and I'll see if I can find some one who knows the ara better

 

All we have of ours on tap right now is the Pilsner, Amber, IPA, and Stout but yes I will be there on Friday this time ask for Chris down stairs.
