I was getting gas at a convenience store on the way to work one morning this week. An older man at tbe other island was coughing into his hand. Sounded like he was trying to cough up a lung. Next he used that same hand directly on the gas pump handle. Coughs again several times into his hand, then walks into the convenient store, opening the door with the same hand. Some people are idiots!:smack:

I was pumping gas with rubber gloves on:crapstorm:

Now whenever I touch anything that’s not mine, I automatically treat it as infected. Don’t touch anything else, and hand sanitizer when I’m done. A bit extreme but hey, I don’t want the rona.

I wear latex gloves if I leave the house (I don't wear them in my truck cause I don't want to infect my truck). The main point of the gloves is to stop me from touching my face/cell phone. We don't leave the house very often though because my 2 year old has asthma pretty bad. The gloves have been the most effective way I've found to not touch my face.

P.S. you already have the rona.

    Oh you firefighters!
We got a full lecture back in my middle school outdoor Ed class, bc we did 4 days on the camping and canoeing the Shanandoah river, due to the annual firefighter gathering at the riverside field we camped at.
Our teacher had to specifically state we not watch, follow, or learn anything good from the group. They would throw whatever and whenever into their larger than seemingly necessary fire! I will admit they sure looked like they knew how.to have fun!!!
Bill, I figured my main exposure point is at the gas pump more than anywhere or anything else..well besides my coworkers I've been around since all this kicked off. Been using disposable nitril gloves for weeks now to pump...also as a means of saving sanitizer while out and about.

This past week or more I've seen many many more people gloving it up at the pump.

At home Depot this morning to pick up a new riding mower and it wasn't packed, the people and staff all were keeping a good distance (except when 5 of them got together to push the mower into the trailer!).

Got it home and my wife came out (with baby) and handed me a tub of Clorox wipes and said, "wipe it all down," so I did, then checked fluids and took care of the lawn before dark...just as long as we don't have to start worrying about skeeters transmitting this all around!

I thought my co-worker was bit crazy when they said they were putting mail in plastic grocery bag and spraying with Lysol and waiting 12-24hrs to open the bag and then check the mail...might not be so bad of an approach!

Let me know what ends up coming your and your friends way, the stores down here between Newport News and Richmond haven't seemed to run completely out of wipes and most size dipers so far. I know our girl gets some irritation with Huggies wipes so if there are any issues btw you all's kiddos let me know and I'll see what we can make happen (seems water wipes brand is always in stock when we've/my sister made trips).

Plus I get killer discounts with UPS shipping if push comes to shove and y'all need them faster than TW express!

I want to thank everyone that has reached out, I am glad that TW isn't only a place for truck shit but to come together to help in times of need. My wife and neighbor who have a 4 month old are both truly appreciative, plus some babies from my son's daycare. As you can imagine Alexandria and the DC metro area is a bit insane with overreaction in the stores but underreaction in the streets. Stores are slowly implementing restrictions but it's clear people are still over doing it. Thankfully we were able to get diapers squared away for ourselves and friends. I know for some this may be a bit overdramatic but with all the cabin fever these mom's are getting, one less thing to stress about is worth it's weight in gold.

Huge shout out to @EatSleepTacos @Rome604 @ilubtimmyhos for the quick hit up.

    @Greg's Outdoors @IPNPULZ @chiefcrunchy appreciate the lookouts.

She thinks it’s fantastic. I’m going to paint it a nice fleshy tone once I can run to the store.

Perfect. You should think about selling them. I'd be the first in line.

I work construction and am deemed essential. Powhatan to Richmond mostly. Roads have been pleasant and people seem to respect safety yellow shirts with 8 to 10 feet when I’m shopping for materials or home goods. I’ve been gloving it up at the gas pump, $1.62 a gallon here. Grocery stores here are cleaned out of paper products and cleaning solutions. Wife put in a pick up order with the local food kitty for tomorrow afternoon. Coffee, Beer, lunchmeat, and whatever she buys. Cleaned out the garage this weekend. I’ve got three bikes for sale, two pedal power and one 93 octane. Also a Weber electric smoker that I’ve never used. Whenever this crap subsides.....
