That would have been sick! I’ve been eyeing the new HEI HEI cr, the process is on my shortlist too though. Hopefully once we are able to actually test ride bikes bikenetic will have one to test.

Been reading about kinetic ropes versus straps and decided to go with a kinetic rope. Got the VooDoo 3/4" rope for $111 from Suspension Connection, which is the best price I found for a 3/4" rope. Comes with a pretty sturdy carrying bag that has extra room for other stuff. Went with a rope over a strap because based on what I've read, the straps are only good for 10 full pulls, whereas ropes have an unlimited amount of pulls as long as they don't get nicked, scratched, etc (which is also true for straps). The ropes also stretch more (VooDoo ropes stretch 38%). Plus the rope came with a cool voodoo doll that is proudly hanging in the truck, so it was really a no brainer!
    https://www.suspensionconnection.com/1300009-voodoo.html

Also got a Rhino USA recovery shackle hitch receiver off Amazon.
    https://www.amazon.com/USA-Receiver-Accessories-Rhino-Receivers/dp/B06WLMF23C

I know the rope is made in the USA, not sure about the recovery shackle, although Rhino USA is a US company. One thing this pandemic has made me try to be more conscious of is buying US products instead of Made in China.

    That's a really great deal on a rope. Usually they're $200+ for a 30' one.

Yeah, I thought so too. A lot of the $200+ ropes are for the 7/8" or 1", but the 3/4" has a capacity of 24,500 lb, which is more than enough. Plus you don't want too thick a rope or it won't stretch as easily with our trucks (not enough load to fully stretch it out).

We'll see about that. I'll just disable the check engine light. Problem solved.

The two upper windshield mounts broke on the bike also by the time i had made it to Ashburn.

Man, was going south towards Haymarket and had debated on stopping by but was already like 1930hrs..

I might need that for my Germany relocation!

    wanna be mods
Just did MESO start and 4x4 blackout mod and went to test 2wd, 4h, 4l (I routinely run 4h monthly just on the back roads), but when I went to 4lo it made some grinding sounds and the truck was lurching slowly forward (I was in N with foot on break between all 2wd and 4xr selections).

Did a t case oil change about 6700 miles ago. Anything I should be worried about all knowing minds??

I think we should plant a couple smokers on top of Flagpole and make a day out of it. I'd be willing to contribute some food.

I agree. As much as I complain about it, I still get out to go to work. Being essential apparently being in a fwe at risk categories... But some time behind the wheel on some dirt sure would be nice.
