You're probably right on about that.

Does RCI not have lead times like the rest? I assume they do provided there’s no stock on hand wherever you get them from.

Don't quote me on any of this, but I don't recall waiting for long on any of the skid plates I've ordered from them. Your best bet is to contact them.

This was definitely a factor for me.

The few times I've taken the truck off-road I had serious anxiety because of the stock plate. I might go down the Mobtown route at a later time, but had I ordered from them I wouldn't get anything till the end of the summer. For now, at least I have something other than sheet metal protecting my pan and diff when climbing up mountains.

    A thing or two...
I'm getting along pretty good out here in AR. We're chugging along at work (busy as every) and maybe one day I'll get to travel for work again (fucking COVID). I've also been working on things around the house. I've been struggling to install a couple of new security lights. The existing lights that I'm replacing weren't mounted properly, so I've been trying to get what I need to mount the new lights properly. I think I have what I need now minus a 3.5"/4" hole saw for the electrical box. The stores around here didn't have them in stock when I was looking, and I haven't broke down to buy what I need online. I also had to do maintenance on the motorized cover for my pool last weekend because it wouldn't open.

The truck is sitting in the shop waiting for me to get off my ass and replace the clutch master/slave and finish the backup camera install and Mobtown tailgate skin install.

Got the new Baofeng today, programmed it, and it both transmits and receives! The charger cradle is still too large, but oh well. I reused the credit card pieces I cut up for the previous one to fill the gap so the battery leads make contact with the charger leads. I'll call Baofeng and ask them about it tomorrow, but happy I will be able to transmit now. So when are we going wheeling again??? :)

Where does this stuff mount in the truck?

I will get there slowly (August).

In the meantime, I have some remaining items on my June acquisition list:
    • portable compressor (leaning VIAIR 88 or whatever it's called)
    • big ass battery/jump starter
    • jack stands
    • floor jack
I put my name in the maxtrax group buy so that was going to be #5 lol. Any suggestions for the above?

I keep the radio in the door cup holder. Also have the Viair 88 (comes in a bag that stows nicely behind the rear seat). Takes about 4 min/tire (32" tires) to air up.
