You able to get it pinned to page 1 or setup a FPK route thread?

 

Bring some battery hedge trimmers and chainsaw and you can make it (in many tight spots) as wide as you want

 

I'm just going to hope everyone in here can find it and reference it for other folks. No way of getting it pinned to post #1 since OP is gone, unless I get mods involved but not worth bothering them about it.

Ok great. My plan was to be able to take the top down and whatnot but that'd be counterproductive in the rain, so the soft-top stays on lol.

New guy here from the Williamsburg area, I'll be home this weekend if yall are serious about goin up and don't mind company. I'm free Sat. Trail virgin, but have worked with trucks and heavy equipment the past 10+ yrs so getting things unstuck is nothing new to me.

Truck cap party. Also just realized @crashdb was the one having the radio issues so I'm wondering if we can try to get that sorted while I'm over there.

 

Andrew is dropping by with his new RLD cap. We will attempt installation. Frivolity will ensue. We may have another helper. Or another if you join.

 

Yeah. Still having those issues. You're more than welcome to check it out. I seriously think the box is bad. Midland is supposed to send another one. Things I have tried: Running +/- leads directly to the battery outside the truck. Did the same with two antennas: One was the whip the radio came with. The other was the Midland upgraded antenna. I had a custom cable made out of LMR195. Still get interference. Happens when truck is running only. Does not change with engine speed or LED lights on/off. I want to say that even with the engine off some interference will eventually start. I'd have to check that one again. So there it is.

 

I've actually got the same radio so we can swap mine in to know for sure.

 

Oh sweet! Randy and I were going to do that this weekend, but it'd be nice to know a little more where the issue is.
