This is how I look at it. TBH, I'd be more annoyed with all these systems if it weren't for the fact that most of them can be turned on/off at will.

Which one? The red Y or the current yellow one?

The red Y, but why did you switch it up?

Macs custom tie downs, the 35”-37” size.

I had the open bed with Y strap spare for that one fpk trip, and got another softopper after it. I couldn’t deal with camping+open bed+east coast wetness. Putting the spare here frees up a lot of room.

Im thinking long term I may get a soft topper, and want to keep my options open in regards to tire storage relative to bed space

The ST are so awesome. Weigh nothing, fairly versatile, and protect the gear in the bed.

    Very true.

I had a recall on my TSS, to which was always on at start up (factory set up). After the fix/recall, The system was set to off by Toyota. if I want it on, I have to activate it at start up every time. Now, that said.. I do know the LDA is off. Not to sure on the PCS (Pre-Collision) as that still worked while it showed off. Makes me wonder how far turned off this stuff actually is.

That's how I had mine replaced... The covered the dealership cost the first time then Safelite's glass and their re-calibration when it turned out Auto Glass Express in Chantilly fucked my shit up and it leaked like hell. Their "fix" was 10x worse than the original problem and I ended up having the cowl and interior A-pillar trim replaced when they glued them all to the windshield.

To add to that, he lives near me and I’ve done a cmc for him so we’re familiar with each other. If anyone wants me to grab it from him I can.

Oh it’s great. Especially in my work truck. Was on 95 with a set of double and some ass hat cut me off and hit his brakes. Immediately locked me down. All without a single tire locking up. Granted I have more ABS that your Tacoma but at 70’ long I was happy I didn’t run him over.
