Beautiful. I love it. I’ve always wanted an RTF2 Glock. A 19/23 would be ideal. They’re just so perfect to me. I’ve never even held an RTF2 before :(

I had a G21 for a little while. I didn't shoot it well, so I got rid of it. I like 1911s for shooting 45.

I don’t know if I’ve ever shot a 1911. I’d like one at some point.

I like them a lot. My first 1911 was a Rock Island. RI is a budget brand, but I never had any issues with it. I upgraded to a Smith&Wesson 1911 and sold the RI to my buddy. I also have a Springfield EMP that I picked up used but still haven't shot.

I’d shoot one though. I’d like to play with a Kimber someday

I had a Kimber...hated it. It was by far the best looking gun I ever owned but I tried running it in a few bowling pin shoots and it would always jam if I ran it hard. Could have been a fluke but I sold it and never looked back.

I've owned a lot of 1911s and I've lost interest in almost all of them except my Sig Sauer Tacops. I know it's not a traditional 1911 but I swapped all the internals out with Wilson Combat parts and it runs like a top. I've never once had a malfunction and I've beat the shit out of it.

The Labor Day sales got to me and I opted to melt my credit cards into mods.
Some of them are finally arriving:

Careful with their new stuff... Kimber has had a massive quality drop in the past few years and are riding on their old reputation. Their marketing team is still top notch but read more recent forum posts... I wouldn't touch a new gun from them with a 10' pole.

Big fan of my Springfield though. Just a mil-spec but I've shot their loaded model extensively and they're great shooters. I'm likely going to get my wife a nice one for our 1yr this year because other than my previous KSG, my 1911 is her favorite to shoot and someone needs to get through all this .45 I have.

And couldn't pass up the 30-06 deal! I have plenty of ammo but only 1 rifle in that chamber, and it lives in the safe for very good reasons.
This is just a backup woods gun and for fun, but its capable of sub-MOA groups, which is plenty for hunting.
That was the down and dirty get close sight in from the factory bore sight.

Do it Randy, it may be "old school"
But damn if it's not cool!
I got a Springfield armory 1911 last summer to play with so the one in. The pic that was made in 1914 can stay nice.

I always thought I would hate 1911s. Never bothered to look at them and didn't care. I don't a friend's and now I want one.

Decide on the size that you think you'll need then get a bigger one. They fill up fast ,especially with optics on long guns. A 10 gun safe is not really a 10 gun safe.

Yeah, I was looking more at 20ish gun safes, and I doubt I'll get up to that many. I want the extra room for extra stuff.

Sold my Para P-13 and Kimber Ultra CDP II. The Kimber was a sexy carry gun but fuck me did it thump when shooting it. So down to this 1911 and my 2011.

Kimberly had quality problems in the past as well from what I've heard. That's why I don't even consider them.
