No, I already looked into that. That's what I did for the rear bumper, but just won't work with the front. Something would have to be fab'd up to make the reinforcing side brackets to still work too and still maintain strength for winching. I suppose it's possible...may be a good winter project

Yeah, I guess I'm just too lazy to take off the bumper.:D I'll just use this cheap fix until I get around to fabbing something up. I'll probably just remove the 3 bumper mounting studs and weld another plate on the frame with three 1" higher studs on it.:fingerscrossed:

I spent last the last four days with an OEX instructor at Uwharrie NF transversing numerous obstacles at a property they manage, Big Creek Rocks, and Uwharrie NF 4x4 trails. It was a very educational and enjoyable experience. BCR occasionally runs programs for small groups and OEX runs one day programs. There are VERY challenging obstacles there. Uwharrie has 8 trails, 1 easy, 4 moderate, and two difficult, and one extremely difficult (Daniel); I did not drive Daniel.

Now question: does anyone have a recommendation for getting my Tacoma wrapped? I would like to get a gray camouflage wrap that is protection from brush and trees. I have been using Goat magnetic protectors but lost one at BCR with the very tight off camber trails.

Bill! How've you been? Drove past your driveway the other day going to work and thought "Haven't heard from @Usroadscholar in a while. Wonder if he's been getting thru this pandemic ok or not". Sounds like you've been doing well, since you got to get to Uwharrie. Sounds like an awesome trip!

If you don't want a full wrap, these are removable and probably cost less. Tacomaholic has these on his Gen2. https://goat-truckarmor.com/

Bill, if you were happy with the GOAT armor, he'll do single panels. I lost one and was able to get a replacement.

Just found out that the job my wife had lined up is no longer. About eight months in the works, Covid delays, license verification delays, paperwork errors from the employer, and now the hospital says she's been off work too long and won't credential her. Kinda feels like we're walking through a :crapstorm:. Time to find some overtime.

EDIT: It's easy to forget when walking through this stuff just how blessed I am. I have a job a like, a wife I love, and a roof over my head, and a truck I'm pretty happy with! Perspective.
