Sun afternoon the gun show wasn't to crowded. Grabbed a couple hundred rounds for decent $.

What's up everyone. I'm a long time lurker here. Can't recall ever having posted up in this thread. Live in Sterling, work in Chantilly.

Two weekends ago I got hit by a Camry at the Rt. 9/Berlin Tpke intersection. The weekend prior I made my first trip up to Flagpole Knob and got an itch to finally start doing some proper mods.

This incident kinda jumpstarted all that. I've got a Pelfreybilt front bumper on the way. Next Camry that pulls that shit will come out a lot worse.

Now considering I'm about to hang a heavy chunk of steel off the front of the truck and I'm already in need of an alignment... I guess it's time to lift too! I'm trying to figure out what the hell to do. Toytec Boss coilovers with the AAL in the rear? Full OME setup with the 886's and the Dakar rear leaf pack? UCA's? It's kinda overwhelming, and my budget isn't the greatest. Any suggestions are appreciated but I'm not trying to introduce myself with such a complex request. What I'd really appreciate, however, would be some suggestions on local shops for alignment after I lift it. The shops I'm familiar with around here are more geared towards aligning lowered sports cars than lifted trucks.

Hope to get my shit fixed soon and meet up with some of you guys to go hit some trails, or Hooters.

    -Steve

I think I might have drove by after this happened. Was this after Oktoberfest in Lovettsville? I saw the Taco and almost stopped but the cops were already there and my 6 month old was starting to lose her mind.

Damn Steve Im sorry to see the ride get hit like that. Is it just your fender that got bashed up? I personally would go for a full leaf over an AAL. Wheelers has a nice Dakar leaf pack for $475ish that gives you about 2.75" which is what many are running. As far as the front coils, sounds like a solid investment. Let me know if you need a new set of fenders...

High tech in Chantilly is a little pricey for alignments (I think they run about $150), but they are an off road shop and have good alignments on aftermarket suspension. A lot of people like the OME stuff, and the price is pretty good too. I know Danny has done lots of installs for people on here for good prices, or if you want to DIY there are lots of members that help out when they can.

Message @HeadStrong Off-Road for awesome deals on any of those suspension setups. They always have free shipping (which is good for the heavy stuff) if you need help installing, im just down the road in Ashburn.

As for shops for Alignment, some people go to C&C auto in sterling. I think their alignment is $80. I use High Tech in Chantilly. They specialize in lifted trucks. Their alignment is around $150.

Im also willing to lend a hand as well if you want to tackle stuff on your own. The experience here with lift installs is actually pretty good amongst the members.
