My new Geartech fenderwell splash guards are coming this morning according to USPS tracking.

 

Was he good about getting them out and all? He played some games when I got mine.

 

I like games!

 

This time they weren't any fun. He was caught in a few big, fat lies.

 

I’m hesitant about small businesses anymore (sad to say from a small business owner). I get screwed by half the ones I deal with and I don’t like those odds. It’s a shame that customer service seems to be the last worry some have. Why is it so hard to be honest and forthcoming? We buy from these companies because we want to support small niche market businesses. I understand the prices will be higher and the turnaround longer, but expect the morality of business to be stronger.

I ordered them on November 18th and was supposed to be a two week lead time, which I was fine with. After two weeks, I emailed him since I still had not yet heard anything or even seen him on tw. He promptly replied and let me know he'd received my order and were scheduled to be shipped mid-December. They were a little late getting here, so more like 4 week lead time. But I wasn't in a hurry. Everything takes longer during this pandemic. He seemed very nice in his replies.
If I end up having to cut my fenders to eliminate any rubbing with these 35's, I'll be getting the fender liners from him as well. I just hate the unfinished look of having no fender liners and having no protection up under there

 

This sounds like his method of operation. He created a shipping label on the exact day the expected lead time ended. And then it didn't ship. I contacted him and he told me it was going to ship that day. It didn't. I contacted him again and told him I was going to do a charge back on my credit card if he didn't get a move on. He gave me some BS excuse about mail trucks getting into accidents. I have no clue how he expects anyone to believe that crap. I finally got my order.

Like you, I want to get the fender liners, too, but I wonder how much headache it will be to get them to me. I started to make my own set and decided I didn't have the motivation for it. Maybe I'll give him another chance near the end of the month when the holiday stuff has settled down. Thanks, Bill.

 

Anyone wants some 2nd generation geartech splash guards? usps must have been drunk and delivered them to some unlucky dudes house and placed them by the mailbox..

 

Hahahaha, they were actually INSIDE my mailbox. I really didn't think they had been delivered with the regular mail. I figured there would've been a box on my front porch. Nope. Came like this in the mailbox

Don't apologize. Small businesses need to be held accountable as well. Good customer service is what sets you apart from your competitors. Bad news travels fast, and I'm willing to post a bad review if I've had really bad customer service. I told the GM of Malloy Ford I didn't buy there because of the reputation of the service department after they lived up to it with my wife's car. I worked too hard for too long to provide good customer service to put up with poor customer service anymore.

What I do now isn't what I did then. Now it's a three letter federal acronym. Then it was security account management and retail management. Both of which I liked. Neither of which I miss.

 

Shhhh.

 

That's the side hustle that pays for all the Taco mods.

 

I'm not sure what that says as my truck isn't done yet.
