I mean, I've got a filler neck, too. Ya can't see it, but it's the knowing....

So I may or may not have used: 1)A yellow rag placed on the dash 2) A hand drawn "sticker" taped to my windshield or 3) A picture taped to my windshield.

Absolutely not ok. Everything has to be king or fox. None of that mismatch nonsense.

but in all seriousness it may make dialing in the bumps tricky

The reason I got the foxes was they offer a 3” bump where king offers a 4” that you can restrict to 3”. So your right, I would have to mount them at different heights to get them to hit at the same time. I’m going email fox. The 3” suits my setup better and I only have a couple hundred miles on them.

Thanks, I try (but am only human!) to stay on routine and hard use maintenance, as an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. The second lost part of the quote is, better learn how to cure it yourself and save some of that $

I know reading/watching video is all good and well, but like you mention getting hands on training/doing more is the reputable way to ensure you're doing things correctly, plus doing it more than doubles the retention. It's always better to have tested or done a basic run thru of gear before being in the field. Much like taking out, setting up your new tent before having to do it likely tired/at night/in inclement conditions.

Hopefully once I get it, I can pull the bumper, mount it and put up the bumper. Then to try and run through basic operations, and also work up a maintenance checklist to add to the 3 ring o'maintenance! Speaking of...I'm due to repack the trailer wheel bearings this weekend...oh what fun!

Add me to the list of satisfied customers for the DMM. It's a really clean setup. I've seen people also modify it and mount a USB port into it.

Yeah, that pretty much settles it for me then. Thanks everyone for the input! And I was looking at that as well; sounds like a fun mod to mess with down the road if need be.

I read those reviews too and took my Icon UCAs in to have them press the delta joints in. They fucked them up royally and ended up getting new ones for me from Icon.

Anyone have a local recommendation for hydrographic dipping in NoVa? I have a helmet I want pimped out if I can get it done at a reasonable rate.

Don't know if you're the type that's a DIY'er, but you could always do it yourself in a bathtub or similar container. Check this out:

    Hydrodipping kit:
    https://www.mydipkit.com/shop/respect/

    DIY Video:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4ApIJCXGgU

You can also use generic automotive spray paint, and spray it on the surface of the water, pass the item being 'dipped' under and through it, and achieve a similar effect. But the hydrodipping film is a lot more consistent, cooler-looking and easier overall.

Yeah, I have considered trying it myself. Even buying some cheap bowls to practice on before doing my $400 helmet.

Not a bad idea! I can definitely understand being apprehensive considering the cost of that helmet lol

That YT video took me down a rabbit hole for a bit where I saw someone else using that technique and it gave a tiger stripe pattern to the stuff he was doing. Made me think about trying it on some of my tacti-cool rifles.

Credit to @EatSleepTacos for the win on not needing relocate kit...I also purchased this due to that crossbar brace for the grill/front grill connection piece (see here at https://youtu.be/zLghva_rmeo around 5:25 min. mark)
