So I ended up looking at McGeorge online parts...and saw the damn shipping! Screenshot_20210316-095720_DuckDuckGo.jpg

So can't remember if it was here or on The Lair, but knowing these online dealer parts can't sell online and do store pickup, I played dumb and pinged them...got this response
    Screenshot_20210316-115841_Outlook.jpg

Did the damn thing...only cost me 35.18 with tax for the rail, plus some filters for the next maintenance intervals...at a decent price no less

I would say Farm Use tags are legit for the tree farm and cow sanctuary
Modified Suspension...interesting, sounds like the next inspection shop/town over might be easier on ya?

Didn't realize a vehicle could be rejected for that in VA...they must be taking notes from the Recon nonsense over here.

The list seems endless within the suspension/steering inspection checklist...that doesn't include the stipulated Rear or Front Bumper height perimeters depending on stock/manufacturer listed weight.

I figured Dave would've enlightened all of us...but I'm sure my crappy internet is just falling short!

I'm willing to bet another joint would pass it. I really see nothing in there that would cause it to fail. I remember arguing with inspectors over lowering springs on cars because I altered the suspension.

That's BS. I take it you haven't taken yours in for inspection yet? Or are you going to tag it as farm use?

I went into a semi-explanation somewhere in here, but the quick of it is that the prices online are skirting franchise policies. The dealerships that have online parts stores with wholesale prices do that as a separate business.

I'm not either haha. I've got bolt on recovery points where my sway bar would have been, I wonder if that will cover up any signs of it being there lol. I also have it registered in Mechanicsville, so maybe not a stringent as NOVA
