That's a horrible idea. What time?
Any one have a steelie spare 17 in wheel they'd be willing to part with?
Ordering tires today and want to run two spares after the last two offroad excursions.

Flat tire update - what I thought were 10 ply Revo 3's were not. Ordered KO2's, 10 ply Kevlar today from Costco. Expensive day, even with the sale price. Good news I don't have to buy wheels as the wheel from the trail flat looks useable.

Had a little boo boo with my third gen today. That black step plate on the rear bumper is 220$ from Mc George parts online. I figured I would get body color side panels while I'm at it but they want way too much.

Looks like it's time for a real bumper :D

Spares are always a good idea but I wouldn’t worry about that cut specifically. My sidewalls are alllll torn up and none have a leak.

I have one like that, just a lot deeper, and two more to boot. Two in sidewall, one at the base of the wall at the tread. Does that count as a trifecta?

I think each of my tires has one or more of those. You'll laugh, but I sealed them up with rubber cement. They weren't leaking. I only wanted the flappy part to stay attached.

I need to pull up the black plastic part and see if I damaged what's under it. I'm thinking this is the only excuse I need to go aftermarket. :anonymous:

Out of curiosity: Did everyone find their way out of Sleepy Creek okay?? I thought for sure I was going to end up living there permanently. No wrong turns, just a ton of second guesses.

My tech pack came with the "breadcrumbs" feature on the map. Didn't need to, but followed them out. Until it went back to the trail....

If you have google maps, you can download offline maps so you can still route somewhere when you don't have service. I plugged in my home address as I was leaving camp.

I always forget to do this. Always.

I had Gaia going to see what kind of coverage it had. It kicked in at the one point I thought I had gone wrong.

Is there some way on Google Maps to automatically download maps when you start navigation?

I keep eyeing the Garmin overlander GPS deal. Then I see the price. Then I see the not-so-great reviews.

You can download multiple maps offline for google. I have like everything within a 400-mile radius of my house downloaded. Then it just updates them automatically as needed when you're on wifi.

edit: In case it isn't clear, this is something you do at home, then you have the downloaded maps when you need them

For those that went to sleepy creek, would it be a nice place to kayak/swim? The wife and I are thinking about it going camping/kayaking somewhere but can only think of sleepy creek and Rappahannock river camp grounds.
