That should ease your mind a bit for your trip. Especially since you have two spares. Like Randy said, they get a “click” when they are going bad, but they will keep going for a while after that.

It's not possible to Tokyo Drift too much (at least until you hit a fence post)

Driver side has been leaking grease for some time. I am at ease now, with the spares haha

Boots go bad (aftermarket boots exponentially so) way faster than cv’s. I went through three aftermarket outer boots in a year on one cv. The oem boots seem to last better for me

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
I honestly dont know what to say here.

I use a torque wrench every single time, and for some fucking reason, my lug nuts decide to work the way off to the point I notice going down the road. The spec say 87lbs iirc. I hit them once then re torque after about 5 miles.

    Holy shit.

Me too! (as I quietly go into the garage to recheck my lugs...:anonymous:) Seriously, though...I've had a suspicious noice coming from my truck lately. Kind of like loose washers rattling on a bolt. Can hear it at low speeds with the windows down (when I pass a wall or something that rebounds the sound to me). Weird. I swear I have checked the torque on my wheels and suspension several times at this point.

Am I the only one that doesn't use a torque wrench to tighten lug nuts? I always hit them with the impact gun off my air compressor. There are few sounds in this world as good as an impact gun going around the horn.

You can easily stretch out your studs like that. And then they can break off. Or worse, break the lug.

Nope. This is a recent development for me. I never used to torque them. And I don't use a torque wrench. Torque sticks for me.

So I should set up a meet-up dinner with all y'all, only problem is I have no idea where would be central enough with good food. Any ideas?
