Nothing to see here...found it while filling up before heading home.
So the real questions are: A) how long was it like that? Also...I'm sure it was likely loose if not gone while tearing it up at @3pooches a few weeks ago
B) Is that what I was hearing going down my road the last few months (of intermittent driving)??
C) Do I go ahead and put anti-seize on it again, since I didn't have torque wrench (61ft# if I recall correctly).

Now to pull them off and inspect the bearing/o-ring...might as well pull both and lower the passenger preload to try and level the severe taco lean!

 

Hello! New guy in NoVA. Figured I'd drop in and say hi and hopefully get to know some of you and maybe get out on the trail. I am also curious if there is a needle bearing tool loaner or someone that would be willing to let me borrow one before I get one of my own. I was under the truck today and there is a lot of play and it's got they symptoms of a bad needle bearing.

I have an ECGS needle bearing removal tool you can borrow. I keep it at the shop in Sterling. You could swing by and get it anytime

I also have one you can use. It'll be a few days before it will be available, and I commute into the DC area.

 

WEll, tomorrow we put the Grand Canyon and a new friend @Cuffs in the rearview mirror. Way too many pics to sort through today and get the computer packed up, so here it is. (Don't mind the finger in the upper left ). Tomorrow we drive through Sedona and onto Winslow for more National Parks and Route 66. And that corner in Winslow.... I think I'm leaving part of me here.

Yeah...you're telling me!! I couldn't help but imagining the bolt working itself out while I drove the 3 miles to the closest ACE. Got another backup m14x1.5 flange nut along with a matching nylock non-flange nut.

I was in the parking lot and in pulled a 3rd gen tan taco on 33s, prinsu and hardcases ontop...pulled up and threw a complement and then asked if he had a spare coilover/lca nut onboard!!!

He laughed and grinned while saying, nope...but good luck with that and I like your rig.
