The thing that sucks about the meetings where my rents lived was the WRONG people would always voice concern over dumb shit. The real issues that needed backing for never got the support from most of the good neighbors as it seems many were nervous to voice themselves unless it personally irritated them. Sounds like you shouldn't have those issues though. If I can help it I hope I never have to abide by an HOA.

We just ignore them and they get overruled by vote on by laws....

I am not well liked by many at the meetings as I voice the devil when the stupid shit comes up.. We have a lot of people that think they're the only ones that matter that have come from other Countries and think WE live by there rules and laws..

Just had this happen in phase 2 and yep you guessed it stupid shit....

I'll keep you guys in mind. It's too cold to be wrenching now, those tools sap the warmth right out of your hands, and wearing gloves guarantees a large part of the job will require no gloves for one reason or another. Plus we just moved apartments so I'm pretty much done with manual labor for the rest of the year.

Come spring that changes. Now that I've paid it off, I'm just gonna hold onto that $500 a month and put it towards bolting on a bunch of crap that I'll probably never fully make use of, as is tradition. :D

Yeah, it personally doesn't make sense to me for stuff I know I can do without issue like leafs. I'll keep you in mind if/when I tackle something outside my comfort zone or that needs more than a pair of jack stands on flat concrete to do.

No worries man, sad to say Im too eager to let cold get in the way of mods for me. With that being said, I tend to pick the most time consuming projects for the worst time for some reason. How big are the leafs? Are you replacing the shocks as well? Could be a few hours tops to do depending on the size of the pack.

It's gonna be pretty mild, I'm going for increased carrying ability more than anything (my factory leafs are flat with just the ARE topper. What the fuck, Toyota?). Wheelers 5-leaf, OME 884, Bilstien 5100s when it happens, got a bicycle build in the works before I start fiddling with truck stuff.

Have you bought the leafs yet? I got a set of PRO leafs if you want those, adds about 1 inch of lift that were part of my Baja originally. Also have my old bilsteins with resis' if you are interested in those. Would be nice to get them out of the pad. Im guessing a mountain bike?

I haven't bought anything yet, but were the TRD pro springs that much more resilient? Can't find much info on 'em.

And it's going to be a tricked out commuter bike. Save gas and work off the extra padding in one smooth step.

Well I have a Tonneau ARE fiberglass top on mine and I had no issue. They have an extra leaf in the pack as well from the standard leafs. Proud of you man, a fellow commuter! I ride my bike into DC most mornings until the dreaded black ice hits then Im out.

I wonder if those are 3rd Gen compatible...

Soooooo I just talked to Dan over at wheelers and he has confirmed that the leafs will fit from a second gen and a third gen as there was no design change. If you want Truggin you are welcome to see if the leafs would fit. Also the eyelets will work as well if you want the shocks. Keep in mind though this will likely increase your rear by an inch in ride height though.

Understand that. I would be OK with that rake until I lift up the front - which will likely be springtime. How many miles on 'em, and how much you want for em?

If you want the springs only...$50. If you want the shocks too that's another $150. I have done a leaf install too before so installing these is not very challenging. Mileage is 70k but only street miles.

Naw man quiet and clean sounding. Granted they have never been offroad so I cant confirm how they might be after you do your next wheeling trip.

Are they 4-leaf? Have any pics? I'm interested.

Not sure about the shocks. I'm thinking a matched set of 5100's, so I can level her (a little). I don't want to throw the drive line out of adjustment, and these dam Sport shocks are STIFF, so I think I want to replace fronts and backs at the same time.

I do have some pics...I think I even posted some a little while back. I would have to check, but they might be a 3 leaf. No worries on the rears granted they are billies as well with resis. Just you hauling out the leafs is an awesome thing.
