Yep it's a 60ft bus lol. Pretty much a 35' bus, minus the butt, pulling a trailer that is another 35' bus, missing the cab. Engine and drive axle are alllll the way in the back

    There's a side shot

From my experience, it was a bit more than just a CMC.

They were also willing to do some minor trimming inside the fender, and if I started to rub, I could bring it back and they would do it again.

This was 4 years ago though, and I think it was 350.

There were a few people on this thread who were doing these in the driveway. Anyone remember who they were or know someone who doing this for a bit less?

I think you know, you aren’t going to justify a $500 cmc to me.

You now you own a grinder and trim your own cab mount, correct?

I can justify a 500 dollar cmc. This is america. A business can charge whatever they want to. Just because YOU dont want to pay it, doesnt mean someone else wont.

And most people cant weld, or want to take the risk with that dumb ass wiring loom on the drivers side.

We as a group of enthusiasts should encourage the exchange of knowledge and skills so that we get stronger as a community. Accomplishment stems confidence. Confidence prepares you for experiences. Experiences are what we live for. Buying a 4.5” cordless angle grinder and doing your own cmc gives you a great tool to bring on the trails and experience using it.

I can understand the retail side of this, and if the market will pay it, then good for the owner of the business. Apparently the market will support it here. But I have to say to Chris's point, I have learned so much on these threads and from watching some video, that the community has taught me to do some things on my own that I thought I couldn't or wouldn't be able to do. And the teamwork on the trails for some of the tire changes, and thinking outside the box to solve some issues is what the community knowledge develops.

Due to recent revelations I take back everything I said. $500 is a fair price for a washer fluid or a whatever you put in your transmission and I highly recommend taking your pathfinders to the Land Rover dealer for routine thrust bearing inspection.

Due to recent revelations, I will not be purchasing a vehicle from Chris. I hear he puts washer fluid in his transmission.
