FedEx could only fit 3/4 on the delivery truck today. I think I’m in love:drool: Lots of work to be done this week :sawzall:

For knowledge purposes can you put a tape measure on those ko2’s to see what the actual measurement is? Here’s my spare Cooper st pro in the same size 23B4D40E-D2BF-433F-B4E4-3F3263CA589B.jpg

Sure thing! They probably won’t get mounted till the end of next week. I’ve got to tear the front end apart Monday. Pass and driver inner/outer tie rods and lcas are still original with 200k. 85k of which on 33s.

No stress, Im just curious. I’ve put kbros on lots of my vehicles and love them, but have been told they run small. Can’t be much smaller than my coopers. Here’s proof I like bfg’s43B60EC1-8E33-4D59-B91E-8015EE72E88C.jpg

Are those stt maxes? Nick says his measure close to 35 inches. Wonder why the pros are so much smaller?

Yes. Was also about 5 years ago. I just sold the 35s for $150 for all 5.

Dropped down to 285s to fit bypasses/not use spacers.

Mini meet with @JoeT4R to eat some KBBQ in Centerville

While I hate the idea of quoting myself, I did it anyway...twice. :D Only to highlight my travels over the past few days in light of the recent tire talk in here, and the fact that I may need to revisit my thinking from last fall when I decided to run mud terrains on my DD. So, driving to/from OH this past week I spent most of the drive on routes 68 and 79 (lots of incline/decline). With my skinny 33's (mud terrain Geolandar 285s) I averaged 12-15 MPG for the trip. Was not expecting numbers that low, and I can only assume that the tire size/weight, mud terrain tread, and those hills had a lot to do with it. Add in the manual trans and probably my driving style, and it was a recipe for shitty mileage. Going to have to consider losing the mud terrain for a lighter all terrain or hybrid I think...that or keep these for off-road only use and start running a second set of wheels for long drives/commuting. Even just commuting on 66 in my current set up, I am averaging 15-18 MPG.

Anyway, just needed to get that off my chest. And here I was hoping that it would really be "buy once cry once" this time around.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
You're getting about the same as I am with the KO2'S. When I ran DD on aftermarket wheels I saw 2-3 mpgs better. But I also had swap tires anytime I was going to do more than a gravel road. I'm going to live with the mileage as it's no longer my DD. Sold the other set.

Man I feel your pain so deeply.

I put 285/75/16 Yoko g003’s on my truck last month and my MPGs plummeted. I absolutely loved the way those tires looked but I almost immediately switched back to my 265/75/16 Grabbers because I just couldn’t stomach all the extra money I was going to have to spend on gas. I do a a lot of long distance highway driving.

It was a really tough decision because I loved the capability of the g003’s and knowing they could get me anywhere but I chose to do the responsible thing

286 miles back from NW Pa through the mountains doing 55-70 got an avg of 19.5mpg on these 285s. I’ll be making another trip in 2 weeks so it’ll be interesting to see how much it drops putting the 315s on.
