Yeah that's the only thing that sucks about going overseas to fun places. I cant have my guns. I just leave them at my dads or father in laws until I return and they take good care of them. Its also where I park the truck if we go and we just take the SUV overseas and I get a beater car for the tour.

21 feet is actually the max distance that you can reasonably claim self defense. ( Tueller rule )

I honestly don't understand the delays in this process as they hired more people to process the load of NFA requests....

I'm sure mine would take just as long if it was not for the contacts I have made over the years working in DC..... I have heard that there was an awful lot of slow walking approvals during the past 8 years that did create the back log of approvals

My first one took just under 2 months . I realize that were a flood of people that submitted before the new 41f went into effect, but this wait time is just ridiculous!

If you need a recommendation I can give you my docs name. He was hilarious, cracking jokes throughout the entire process.

Tueller's rule actually shows that an armed assaliant (with a blade) can fatally wound someone with a holstered sidearm from 21 feet away. Because action is much faster than reaction, and the reactionary gap is dependent on many variables, police often use this as a justification for engaged threats beyond 21 feet.

I was about to say, that applies to bladed weapons. But if you're in the mall or something and a gunman starts shooting at people and he is more than 21 feet away from you, that is still justifiable.

    Thanks @Lots2Learn58

Exactly! It shows that 21ft can be covered faster than most people can react with a sidearm

Yeah, not sure there's a distance where you can claim self defense. Any time you feel you or someone else is in IMMEDIATE danger can be considered self defense.

That 21 feet rule is what you stated, that distance is used as the minimum distance where a reasonably proficient shooter can react, draw, and stop an attacker (usually in a scenario where that atracker has a blade/sharp object).

@fatfurious2 just ordered my tech-deck and ram ball grips, the bed gap stiffeners with bottle opener and my Yakima tracks for shell. Doing the small stuff to reinforce for the bigger add ons!
