Are you dead set on getting a 32" light bar for the front bumper/grill? They make plenty of off-road bumper with slots cutout to accommodate a 20" light bar.

I'm NEVER dead set on anything (other than I wont run a roof light bar haha)....I bought the bumper in the picture(s) and unfortunately, they dont offer a cutout for a 30" single row or anything.

I might end up buying a 30" single row or something and just tossing it behind the grill..... SDHQ makes a dual 30" mount (I wold probably only do 1 lower light bar)

Bummer on the roof light bar...damn if mine isn't an artificial sun when its on. Lighting at night would be half at best without it.

I know light bars are awesome and everything, but if you are going to run some quality ditch lights you probably won't even need the light bar for the added light, especially if you also upgrade your headlights and fogs.

Seems like alot of spray considering you have mud flaps still attached. What is that discolored spot near the middle?

You say that...but with Morimoto HIDs, Rigid fogs, Baja D ditch lights, 20 inch behind the grill light bar...the roof light still trumps ALL of these. With 52 inches for a light bar, I don't think anything can substitute for one. But if you don't really care for night driving, then I wouldn't get one.

Oh I know light bars are awesome. I saw a guy turn on his 52" Rigid spot beam light bar and I thought God had come down to Earth to say hi.

That's pretty much how it is man. I would argue that besides ditch lights to see the awkward spots, a roof bar will suffice for everything else.

No, it's not mud or water, and its only on the side with the exhaust.

What spot? I wiped a spot off so there is a streak where I swiped one of the black spots off.

Is it dirt from the tires or oil from the tailpipe?
Edit: just saw you said its not dirt. Rub your finger inside the tailpipe and see if you feel any oily liquid.

    looks normal to me :notsure:

Yea I ran a 42" curved on my Xterra, and a 50" straight on my Jeep... and they just create so much extra noise / howling, and I enjoy driving w/ my sunroof open.... so I vowed after the Jeep to never do another roof light bar. haha

but when they are on, I know.... they are awesome.

yea we'll see... I'd rather have too many lights than not enough :D

but I have already done LED bulbs in the headlights, Nokya Hyper Yellow Fogs....

but I will probably end up pulling the fogs and putting in either the Baja Designs Squadrons, or the CaliRaised kit
doing the Cali Raised ditch lights
and then maybe a 30" light bar behind the grill....

and then I'm sure at some point I'll put some rock lights and rear lighting in

and I still want to do the Mattgecko bed and under hood lighting as well...

(I like lights, I dont know if you could tell or anything.....lol)

Also the fact that it starts splashing before the tailpipe, I think you might have drove the truck through something on the road. Just a guess though.

oh hey man! I was supposed to ask you, did you get rid of your "race bearing installer"?

I was talking to David yesterday and we were talking about installing the ECGS bearing into my truck and he's got the REMOVAL tool, I am ordering the bearing from ECGS, and now I just need to source an install tool.....

and if you dont have it, do you think it's something I could rent from like advance auto or autozone?

Yea I hear that...mine used to whistle at 80 until I did the door trim strips on some of the blades on the heat sink. I also feel with my sunroof open, it actually helps the airflow around the light bar as I barely hear anything now vs before I would hear a small amount of wind at high speeds. I don't know with the addition of a sunroof will really distort the airflow that much in a positive sense, but I got no complaints with it.

Certainly true. Lighting is a dangerous venture because once you add/modify one thing it quickly snowballs into wild project. :D
